Dogs of VolNation and other pets that are inferior to Dogs

When we went camping as a kid, our dog loved to roll in cow chit.
I should probably add that when this happened, my dad, who was usually a few beers in, would fling him in the boat, go out to the middle of the river or lake, and throw him overboard to swim his way back as best he could. (Being apparently part Lab, he did this just fine.)

I need some help/ advice.......

So, I have a dog, who Saturday was acting kind of lazy, but otherwise seemed fine. I put her to bed Saturday night and I hear her vomit, got up cleaned out her crate, put her back up, she vomits again a couple hours later. I didnt have another bed, so I got her out cleaned out her crate, put her in her brothers crate and slept for a few hours. When I got up Sunday it looked like she maybe spit up a little but there wasnt any vomit. Sunday morning she wasnt interested in food what so ever. She didnt eat most of the day, and tried to drink water but it ended up coming back up twice. Late sunday night I made her a bland chicken and rice soaked in broth, and she ate that and did ok. Got up Monday morning fed her chicken and rice with a little bit of dry food, she did good. I came home and checked on her at lunch and she was great. Was even more active then she has been. Fed her just a bite and went back to work. I got home Monday and not even 5 minutes after I got her out of her crate she pukes. Fed her dinner and she ate good. About 2 hours later though she threw up again, there was a mix of dry dog food and undigested rice in it. Her energy levels are the best theyve been and tonight shes playing with her toys which she hasnt done in a couple of days. Im going to call the vet tomorrow and talk to them, but im curious if anyone else has experienced this?

Our Cocoa will take spells occasionally of puking, and not wanting to eat her food. I think in our case, she's bad about eating stuff she shouldn't around the house. She'll eventually eat grass, and throw up really good and be fine. I hope you get it figured out.

Yeah, Bayley is terrible about eating stuff she shouldn't, I also sprayed some bug killer in the kitchen Fri night that she could've gotten into. I'm just worried she isn't getting enough nutrients if she can't hold anything down.

It stinks, cause the poor things can't tell you anything.

She’s fine as long as she still drinks (and keeps down) water for a few days. If she does get dehydrated, they can run IV or subQ fluids.

When you see the vet, bring the bug spray with you so they can check the ingredients. I’d want to know that she hadn’t ingested any neurological toxins.

Hope she bounces back quickly!

I've actually read to not to feed if they are vomiting, they will be okay without eating. I still have, but just usually rice, chicken, or pumpkin.

Hopefully you find out she's okay.

My Emma (RIP) would leap into any basket of laundry (clean or dirty), any open hamper, or any open bag or suitcase. She would be sleeping soundly in another room, and the second you looked away from any receptacle, she was in it. Mischievous kitty.

Lol, Biscuit our tuxedo cat uses them like her own personal castle. One of the other cats like to give her @#$%. So she jumps in there and fights her from the high ground.

My mother had a dog back in the late 90's that acted like this. Was a miniature schnauzer. It turned out it has some sort of kidney disease/ issues. It had to go on some sort of special diet. As long as it was on the special food it was fine, but if it ever got the other dogs stuff it would puke.

So, we are back..... Basically she has a bad doggie stomach bug and acid reflux. They gave her a shot which amounts to phenergan for dogs, some ant acid tablets for dogs, and some special food to put her on for a couple of days. They said the shot would make her tired. It didnt she back home playing which she hasnt done in 3 days.

Thanks for the advice everyone.
