The Idiot Cat (somehow) caught a young rabbit and was chasing it around the back deck. I caught the bunny and transported it to our backyard neighbors’ yard (remodeling their house with at least four months to go.)Rough evening.
Romeo & Chloe attacked a baby Armadillo and killed it.
Just read that Armadillos almost always gave four babies so we are going to have to go out with them instead of letting go out in their own.

At least my previous cat knew how to kill immediately. This flinging it around bit is a no-go for me.
But otherwise, I grit my teeth and acknowledge it as part of the way things are.
Yeah, it’s part of life and how the whole food web works, but that doesn’t mean that I want to step in bunny guts strewn all over the back deck.I hope the bunny was okay.
Romeo & Chloe were biting and violently shaking it which likely broke its back/neck.
You’re right about this being a part of how animals can react to what they perceive as prey.
Our Lab (RIP) never hurt any animal but I suspect that the Dachshund instinct kicked in and these two went into kill mode.
Beautiful dog.Pookie posing for the shot .

She breaks everyone of them on the third or fourth squeeze.
Most Malinois' have cat-like agility. Well trained ones are fun to watch.I may have posted this before. If I did, it still deserves to be seen again
