I bet she feels safe with them around as protective as they are. If they didn’t shed I’d have one right now
They are very good about it. Each waits their turn patiently and they have to sit then lie down to get a piece. She's at the point where she can get each one to sit at the door, she calls their name and points at them one by one and they take their turns running outside.
I believe that Dachshunds used to keep the varmints out of Kings gardens....I must have read that somewhereI hope the bunny was okay.
Romeo & Chloe were biting and violently shaking it which likely broke its back/neck.
You’re right about this being a part of how animals can react to what they perceive as prey.
Our Lab (RIP) never hurt any animal but I suspect that the Dachshund instinct kicked in and these two went into kill mode.
