This is Huey, my 12 year old lab. He was really excited to play fetch in this picture. He's still incredibly active at his old age

Good looking fella for 12.

Well, ex wife is coming down to see beagle man tomorrow after work (4 hour drive, i used to be married to a good one) and then I'm bringing my beagle to release his pain.

Dude's been such a pain in the ass for the last 8 years, from puke on the couch from eating laundry detergent, to "yeah I ripped the pizza off the counter, wtf are you going to do about it".

Nights with no power and it's 4°, then nights when it's 85 and he insists on climbing under the sheets.

When he came here there was a feral cat problem, he became a "toy foxhound". He lived to terrorize those wild cats.

He's gimpy, tumors have hurt his front legs motion, but my buddy is going to walk his ass in to the vet. He deserves that much from his dad.

So I put him down Tuesday around midnight. Was crying like a baby but i held him throughout. Thanks for the memories, Stink. I'll always love ya dude

If any one is interested, There is a very well behaved full blooded German Shepherd looking for a home.

I was contacted a few days ago about him. We evaluated him and he is about 5yrs old. A big boy for sure, great disposition, good manners, attentive and responds to instruction. He was with other dogs, cats and people (adults and children) all day and did very well. Looks to be house trained as well.

I rescue, train and place GSDs but I will not be able to take him as I have a 125lb male GSD that I am working with who has major issues with other male dogs.

He needs a good home and will make someone a great friend and protector.
