Dogs of VolNation and other pets that are inferior to Dogs

I try to put a bandanna on mine during football games, but she just yanks it over her head.

She allows the girls at the vet to dress her up though. Must be a girl power thing.

Know your place, huMAN!:)

Yeah, they can be just like kids. ❤️

He actually found us (literally). Showed up at the inlaws yard about a week before we left for Alaska. Posted on FB and called the local shelters. No one claimed him (he was 15 lbs underweight as well).

Some people don't deserve dogs. They do deserve karma.

Mine only tolerates it because she has no body fat and gets cold.

Gauge is very cool

Gauge is some kind of feist, too. He weighs 27 pounds and loves too sleep on his back, too. Usually between my legs. I, finally figured out how to put pics up, so expect several in the next day or 2, including his favorite sleeping position, like Myke

Since I finally figured out, how to post pics, here's one more of Gauge chilling in the sun and backyard

Gauge is very cool

Thanks and so is Myke. Gauge has an underbite, think he has some pug in him somewhere, and a curley tail. My buddy says he is so ugly, he is cute.

Gauge is the smartest and most loving dog, I have ever had. He loves to ride in the car and when I grab my keys he gets in front of me and starts jumping, like he is saying, "I want to go with u, can I go, look how excited I am to go with u". He does the same thing when my wife grabs her purse or either one of us puts on our coats in the winter and if I grab change out of the change jar. I could go on and on about all the little tells I have when I leave the house or when I cook or get ready to feed him or get ready to walk him and Gauge knows them all, plus all my wife's and my Mom's, when she was still alive.

I wouldn't say my Mom was an animal hater, but as she got older and sicker, she got where she couldn't tolerate 'em much, except for Gauge. If she knew my wife and I were going to be gone overnight or even all day and Gauge couldn't come with us,she would just say," bring Gauge over to NaNa's house". As soon as I would pick him up, she would give me a play by play of what he did and how he figured out when she was going somewhere in the car. Of course, when he got back home it would be 2 days before he would eat his dog food, because she had fed him chicken or hamburger.

Sorry, I rambled on, but Gauge is by far the best dog I have ever had.

We found this cutie roaming the hood. She's wearing a Petsafe collar but no tags. I've posted info online and we are about to have her scanned for a chip. She looks a lot like Smokey in the face, but obviously there is something else mixed in.

Pretty!

She really is. And, my middle son is bonding quickly, so we need to find her home ASAP!

Edit: she has a chip, registered to FL numbers, but UT has not been able to reach them yet and can't give us their info. Registered as a Blue Tick, but looking online, she appears to be a Treeing Walker.
