Dogs of VolNation and other pets that are inferior to Dogs

For a dog I thought for sure I was taking to the Rainbow Bridge last Thursday (I thought she had a stroke), she's making a remarkable comeback from her vestibular disease.

Managed to walk this far from the house on her own this afternoon. I was there to keep her from falling and she stumbled a bit, but the improvement from even yesterday to today has been nothing short of a miracle.

So glad she's improving and I hope you have many more years with her.

We had to have my sweet Gizzy kitty put down this past Sunday and it's really been a tough week. He fought pancreatitis last year and beat it back for a while but this time it affected his liver too. That 12 pound cat must have taken up a lot of room because the house feels to empty without him.

So sorry to hear that. They don't just take up a place in your house, but a huge place in your heart and soul.

So sorry; hugs to you and yours. I went through this several years ago, and I still dream about her, and miss her, and can smell her fur.

But I know I did the right thing (finally), and you did too, to release him from all the suffering. I hope you can enjoy all the happy memories of your time together!

I'm really sorry for you loss. It's like loosing a family member.

Thank you all for your kind words and condolences.

This is the last picture I took of Gizzy. He was craving some sunshine and wanted to look outside so I fixed him up a comfy spot in the dining room. He liked to survey his kingdom.

Apologies for all the extracurricular stuff on the photo. New computer and I'm still trying to figure it all out.

Puppy update. She walked all the way out in the yard by herself and even peed without toppling over. Her recovery has been nothing short of a miracle.

Sweet, sweet pup. Being home and surrounded by love does wonders. So glad she is improving at such a rapid pace!

Any advice on the land shark phase of a German Shepherd puppy?
My wife say ours wasn't bad when she was a puppy. However, my boots, only when I was in them, seemed to be her main source of teething.

If you really want to experience a land shark, get a Malinois (aka MalinNUT, Malingator). Shepherd, at least mine, grew out of that phase pretty quick. Malinois', otoh, not so much. Lol
