Dogs of VolNation and other pets that are inferior to Dogs

@SumSoonerChick or I didn't have a Christmas tree last year, so, this is the first time her little devil cat has had a tree. So, we got smart and did it in phases.

Or so we thought...

Put up the tree and he mainly ignored it save trying to chew the fake berries.

Next day put on the lights and he ignored it.

So, last night we decorated minus the tinsel we knew would be an issue and he mainly ignored it.

Until this morning when he discovered the shiny things...

Tinsel in the cat box is a strange find. We never used tinsel again. Lol

I use this as justification for buying a 9-foot tree!
We got a large, real tree the following year and anchored it with a heavy rotating stand from the 50s. She stared at it a lot, but refrained from visiting mischief upon it.

Edit: Cookie has never messed with a Christmas tree.

Yeah, some just don't. Our current one doesn't, which is odd, because she attacks pretty much everything else.

The late, lamented Head Cat used to ruthlessly remove all ornaments from the lower limbs. As she grew older, a combination of massive elderly dignity + arthritis limited her to mainly gazing at the tree. But every now and then, there'd be a glass ball on the floor.
