Dogs of VolNation and other pets that are inferior to Dogs

In January 2007, when we first adopted our then 9 month old cats, we offered them wet cat food for the first time. Cookie sniffed it and walked away. Emma did the scratching to bury poop maneuver.
This cheers me up. It’s nice to know that “this smells like sh1t” is something other cats do as well.

Coming from critters that eat very recently dead voles and whatnot, it’s pretty amusing.

When our cat is displeased in some way by her meal (usually it’s when we reach the bottom of the bag of kibbles), she carefully circles the food bowl, stopping every quarter turn and making litterbox-burying motions, for a total of four gestures, and then stalks away.
She has standards that must be met.
It could be said that she is an aristocat

SSC's little turd does the same. But normally comes back after a half hour and eats.
