A tribute to Ellie

Portrait Of Ellie

Ellie your gone, but not forgotten
I loved you dearly, you were 14 nearly
You were my faithful companion, loyal and true
For thirteen years Ellie it was me and you

You guarded my property, my car and me
never afraid Ellie, you were brave you see
Now the porch is quiet, no pitter patter of paws
And no barks in the night sending a warning just because

Raisin came by today and spent time on the porch
missing you I am sure and the hunting and that sort
Well we will all miss you Ellie, your sweetness and calm
Your devotion and steadfastness all your days long.

Now rest sweet my angel, my true blue friend
My best bud, my companion Ellie, true to the end.

What kind of penalty are you subject to if you do dispose of them?
You may want to comply.
See the cat in the smaller box? Let’s just say that several years ago, the vet sedated her but still could only trim 6 claws before all hell broke loose. (I’ve always been able to trim my cats’ claws with a fingernail clipper.)

So there would definitely be some sort of penalty, probably involving an attack while we were asleep. Her brain is pretty tiny, but it never forgets.

I thought the recent rains would take care of things, but they’re still hanging in there.

- She moves from one box to the other through the day according to a highly complex schedule that only she understands.

I’ll add that her rage is so pure that she turns it on herself.

When she chases her tail, she becomes so furious at it that she (in order) growls, then spits, then screams at it because she can’t catch it.

And the reason she can’t catch it is because it is shorter than an average tail, with a strange little kink at the end. And the place where it abruptly ends is exactly where it’s just out of her reach. In other words, at some point she did catch it, and she chomped it hard enough that she bit it off (or bit it so badly that it eventually fell off.)

This is an Interesting cat. 😾
