Ive often thought about using them too. I shave my head and Gillette Fusion blades aren't cheap.

I was told to check out Dorco razors. Essentially the same thing as DSC without the club aspect (recurring CC charges and what not). FWIW, buddy that uses Dorco raves about them. I have to shave every day for work (frigging respirators) so I'm looking forward to trying them.

DSC doesn't exactly have a sterling reputation when you really dig into them.

EDIT: Here's one of the blogs I read that on...

Friend of mine tried it and told me the blades were horrible.

I hate to sound like an old biddy but the cheapest way to go is to use coupons while they are already on sale at the drugstores. You can get the really nice ones for free or very cheap.

Never buy the refills just keep getting the kits real cheap 3 to 4 times a year.

I've been with Dollar Shave Club since their launch. I've loved it.
I get the mid level blade, and it's just as good as what I used to pay a ton for every month at Walgreens. I also have enough blades stocked up that I could cancel and still be set for like three months.

I've been a member for about 6 months. My wife and I both use them. We like the price and convenience, but the blades aren't the best. Not the worst, either, but if she cuts her legs again, I'm quitting and going back to Schick.

Sorry, but I don't want some refurbished blade that was last used and discarded after someone had their privates shaved

where do you think they get the blades? From discarded medical blades that are dumped with a bunch of other nasty stuff in red bags, then sorted through, then cleaned, then sharpened, then sold over the net

ugh, you got a link to this? The Zorba the Greek expose' linked above already made me start rethinking this purchase, you'll seal the deal if you can give some evidence.

nah man, I'm sortof just kidding, but not really. In the med business, stuff is discarded and refurbished all the time. However, even though there are still problems, the products are resterilized.
Outside of buying flawed blades, which sounds painful, I don't know how else you sell them so cheaply, unless refurbishing discarded blades that you don't have to pay for.
