FAU has no size on the inside and have not faced a dominating defense like Tennessee's...They are quick and drive to the basket well but we can shut that down with no problems I believe...I will admit I am proud of FAU being they are only about 5 miles away from me but Tennessee rolls in that one.

Pretty sure they have a 7 footer from Russia at the center position.

Not quite true.

FAU has a 7'1" Russian Center, Vladislav Goldin who is their 3rd leading scorer:

Conjecture now, but in my experience Russians love trash-talking other Eastern Europeans and Goldin might try to get into the head of our Serbian Center (Plavcic). The pessimist in me has that as an area of concern, cause if there's anything Uros doesn't need any more of it is trash talk.

Maybe Goldin being a Sophmore will be advantage Plavcic.

Johnell Davis is a a problem....He was a Indiana all star and Mr basketball candidate He played for 21st century high school (1A) in Indiana and his team beat 4A programs up there. He broke his schools scoring record before the state tournament even began. Maishack and James better stick to him like dirt on bubble gum...or someone needs to anyways...

Dude can ball for sure...watched them play Memphis & within 5 minutes wanted him to transfer here next year. Has some LaMonté Turner to him....which IMO, we have missed dearly the past few seasons.

Its like watching a tennis match. I have never seen so many wide open, no one in the neighborhood, 3 point shots. They still can't hit one.

They both shot 31 three's and they both hit 9. So 9 out of 31 is 29% not what you want as a coach. The only redeeming thing about shooting a lot of 3s and missing if you have fast guards they can get a lot of offensive rebounds on the long caroms.

Hopefully Awaka and Ziegler have big followings in the NY area. Those guys need to send their ticket allotment to their families.

He certainly is. One would think that Mashack will get the call much like he did with Miller when we played Bama. We've got to have our defense and rebounding. If we bring the effort like we did vs Duke, we'll be okay. If they come out and play like we did vs UL, we'll be going home. Simple as that.

Dont forget shooting a 3 ball over a team that is 6'3 on average is gonna be much different than over our guards. Size and length matter a lot.

not wanting a Garden crowd pulling for a neighborhood underdog Thursday night.

Unfamiliar with the legalities of it, but if the NCAA allows I’d have Bernard King right behind the bench pulling for the Vols. He remain a Knick/Nets favorite and may help sway neutral folks to pull for TN.

Got a huge break with both Fartley and UK losing. Basilio says ticket price went down from $414 to $199 when UK lost.
