There are many reasons why Trump could have said what he said to the media 21 months ago.

Deflection. Saying things to the media (that had been relentlessly attacking him for 5 years) is different from actually implementing a direct response. Not everything, especially foreign relations, needs to be shared with the public.

Deflection. Enticing Russia to let their guard down.

To stir up ****. Look no further than this thread for the over-the-top TDS.

If he did try to take action the hostile legislative branch probably goes for another sham impeachment.

It was a good way to get a shot in directed at the sub-human CCP. They are evil. Hunter and the Biden crime family striking deals with them doesn’t negate that fact.

Espionage is SOP. It’s not like our CIA hasn’t been up to the same nefarious shenanigans.

The year long breach had JUST BEEN DISCOVERED. Perhaps the SS and AG should have kept their mouths shut. But they knew they couldn’t be harmed by a lame duck POTUS and they both had book deals to make. They wanted the attention.

He might not want to run with the tech oligarchs version of what occurred. They are extreme leftists themselves. Their disinformation campaign probably put the brain dead idiot that now occupies the Oval Office in place. Not only disinformation - there is also the Zucker-bucks factor.

"By now, most people know that hackers tied to the Russian government compromised the SolarWinds software build system and used it to push a malicious update to some 18,000 of the company's customers. On Monday, researchers published evidence that hackers from China also targeted SolarWinds customers in what security analysts have said was a distinctly different operation."

I never said that China wasn't also trying to hack SolarWinds products. My posts have been specific to the SolarWinds Orion breach, which Donald Trump tried to minimize, and blame China for. This separate cyberattack mentioned in the article above, was completely unrelated to what the Russian-based group had done ... and considerably less invasive and damaging.

So, why did you put 'Russia' in scare quotes? If you can read, this article did not absolve Russia of the SolarWinds Orion hack at all.

I simply stated China was hacking solarwinds at the same time. Russia is the left's boogeyman. Solarwinds is alps expanding to china meaning dollars..so do you bit the hand that finances you? Idk...we will neved know the truth just what they want is to think.

How can you include "nobody has a problem with republicans" with your other assertions? I have a problem with Republicans. They continually spout work product of Russian military counterintelligence while behaving like Donald Trump's criminal cult. They support overthrowing lawful elections and our U.S. Constitution. Those are big problems, and I cannot abide them.
