Don't be shocked if Vols flip w/ Texas

Absolutely zero chance texas goes from #2 to #9. I think they are a lock for #5. Losing in overtime doesn't warrant that huge of a drop. It's Happy Valley or the Shoe. Today sealed our hosting chance
It’s really about Texas dropping from 2 to 7 and then getting pushed down to 9 by the 2 auto bids.

Tennessee sits at 7 right now but gets pushed lower with auto bids.

This will come down to an SEC call, IMO. Texas lost by 15 to UGA and again by 3 against a backup QB for 1/2 of the game. Only beat Vandy by 3. Committee can justify it if they/the SEC choose to. Along with Tennessee arguably having a "prettier" loss to UGA during regular season, I think the decision will come down to matchups and venues. Vols are not out of the running; don't be shocked if we are hosting.
Sorry. Gotta see it to believe it.

What is srewed up is the placement of the byes. Conference champions should get in however they should not get an auto bye. Give the byes to the highest ranked teams like ther basketball bracket.

I think they could fall to 8 overall, which would make the 9 seed

We’ve had to earn every spot. We even fell in the rankings after beating Florida. Penn State, Texas, and Ohio State get the benefit of being overranked all season and therefore won’t end up ranked where they should be

Not gonna happen. We stay where we are. They aren’t going to drop a team much that loses in the SEC championship in OT.

I thought #5 was perennially reserved for Notre Dame.

Looks like they are determined to send us on the road to Ohio State. Not what we wanted just go up there and beat them.

We can beat OSU.

But it will take some luck and winning the turnover battle . . . And probably will require Nico and our oline playing their best game this year.

The only discussions the corrupt "committee" will be having today are the #5, 6 and 7 seeds between ND, PSU, and TX, and how they can rationalize kicking SMU out of the field.

What they're looking at are already three 'weak sisters' in Clemson, ASU, and Boise St. in the field, and whether they want to add a fourth with SMU. It has zero to do with resumes at this point, but how to get the Alabama brand into the field.

The cartwheel like rationalizations will be interesting to see, but this clown Manuel has moved the goal posts so many times over the last month that nothing out of his mouth would be a surprise at this point.

Video gif. A smiling baby jerks as if scared and its eyes grow wide as it stares in shock.
