Dont blame Peterman

Peterman looked miserable.. Fumbled the ball at the 20 by making a bad read. If he had started the whole game we would've lost by 28... The fumble in the endzone was a side effect of the punt being downed at the 1 yard line, so I don't really blame Hurd or Worley for that.

We should've put Dobbs in. He wouldn't have had any better passing performance than Peterman, but at least he can scramble. That would've helped when the rush was put on... If we are to make a bowl game, Worley has to take 100% of the snaps the rest of the year.

So you blame Peterman for one fumble, but refuse to blame anyone with the fumble in the endzone? It was a side effect of the punt? Does every team that starts out at the 1 yard line fumble the ball away in the end zone?

I started this thread because a lot of people on here have blamed Peterman with the fumbled handoff in the endzone. I have read on several threads that he botched 2 handoffs, or screwed up in the end zone. Peterman was NOT IN THE GAME during that series.

Worley handed it off to Hurd. Peterman was on the bench. Don't make it worse than it was.

Florida game last year?

Peterman didn't look great but in fairness the uga D was pinning their ears back and blitzing him the entire time he was on the field.

Yep. He was constantly seeing Georgia players in his face. Of course there are people on VN who still say he sucks. Probably the same people who said Worley played like garbage.

I give up.
Y'all are right the Vol that was standing right next to where the ball landed isn't relevant.
Any overthrown pass that doesn't make the line of scrimmage is now grounding.

Better not throw that screen pass at the RB's feet anymore. Make sure you be careful on those bubble screens too. Got to catch them.

With respect to that point worley has been blitzed a ton too but i think his pre snap reads are lightyears ahead of peterman. I dont think nate does a great job seeing the pressure coming and calling his protection shifts and then hes pretty slow to find his receivers after the snap. His pure talent is as good or better than worley he just has to learn the other aspects of the game. Its still early in his career but its gonna be on him big time next year to develop.

It was correct. The ball never crossed the line of scrimmage.

I don't agree that it was the correct call. There was an eligible receiver right were the ball went out of bounds. It was a bogus call.

There were several bad calls in this game. If you go back, and review the punt UGA downed on the 1 yard line, you will see that the player's foot was on the goal line. The call on Butch at the end of the half was B.S. The no call on the run after the fair catch was pitiful. There were multiple blocks in the back they didn't call, and also a lot of holds by UGA's O-line that went uncalled.

These are calls you expect a H.S. officiating crew to get right, much less an SEC crew.

The SEC refs stunk up the field during the OU game as well.

Peterman seems cannot handing the pressure even tho lacking from OL, Worley playing like a warrior all the way...

I'm reading this post in the Eddie Murphy voice from "Coming to America" and laughing my butt off. I can't figure out if it is two ideas run together or if this guys cat ran across the keyboard.

True, the fumble in the end zone was on Worley and Hurd, not Peterman.

BUT, there is no denying the fact that Peterman is just a turnover machine, he makes too many mental errors.

It's his third year and still doesn't know the protections. Johnny use to say blitz a poor qb, pray when they have a good one.
