Don't ever complain about the refs again

So, because officials this year are doing a horrible job again, no one should point it out? Or, complain. Ridiculous.

Wow, is all I can say.

From my grainy feed it really didn't look like a foul. Looked like two players battling for a rebound. I didn't see any contact made until the GA player grabbed Brian's arm. Don't say "Wow" like I'm stupid. :eek:k:

Some of you need to invest in DVR. Good no call.

Or maybe you need to quit assuming that anyone getting a rebound further from the basket than another player is committing a foul.

Teddy V's bunch owed us one. He just paid them back. Now look for a royal screwing down the road to get one up again.

The Josh bone shot was blatant, but that wasn't over the back. There was no contact until BW had possession. Then Georgia guy started grabbing Williams trying to draw a foul. Didn't work.

Basketball Rules | Better Basketball

"Officials should only make a foul call when contact is made. Just like the basketball rules term “reaching in,” over the back is not a foul until contact is made – then it should be called a pushing foul. Even if a smaller player has good rebounding position against a taller player, a foul should not be called if the taller player can get the rebound without touching the smaller player."

Who initiated the contact also should be considered. Barnes had position, but Williams did not initiate the contact. It was a high rebound, Williams got possession first before any contact was established, and then Barns fell back into him and grabbed his arm. I bet Barnes would acknowledge it wasn't an over-the-back.

Hate him or not, Teddy V's crew made the correct no-call on that play.

Well, Teddy V still owes us then because the correct no-call and points counted at the end of the game was not a gift.

I thought it looked very awkward live (and I actually thought he didn't get it off according to one of the clocks they were showing), but as Thrasher says, DVR showed it was the right no-call. Barnes just wasn't prepared for the airball (looked like he was waiting for a carom off the rim) and wasn't ready to grab the miss. Williams was.

Exactly. I'm sure we will see plenty of pictures to judge.

The worst call was when Tatum dove for the loose ball & was still 2ft from the ball. Georgia player hits it w/ his left hand & it's Georgia ball. Ref was right in front of the play.

Did I see it wrong or did the FIRST tv replay show Bone got the shot off in time (side court angle).

Then, tv shows replay angle from behind Bone and ball still in hand at zero?

Am I imagining that? I swear tv guys both first said shot in time. Then changed after second replay.

We just stole one in Athens.

Tell the football players this. What a silly post. You think that one no call makes up for what we've been through? Most fouls don't get called in the last five seconds because so much is going on...
