Don't ever complain about the refs again

There were a few bad calls both ways... i thought it was a well officiated game overall... they wouldn't have caled an over the back call on ANYONE. Just think... if they call that, then UGA is headin to the foul line with .5 seconds or so left and the refs "controlled the outcome of the game" I completely disagree with this philosophy but that no-call would have happened anywhere in NCAAB tonight.

After Mike Slive screwed us with the stupid Bruce Pearl suspension, we deserve a win with a controversial call.

healthy discussion here. i'm all for it, but i'm more pissed about that crazy technical call. i know the rule, but who calls it with two guys both battling for it at the rim?

On the Bone shot. Does the red light on the backboard not go off when it is a shot clock violation? If so, the light didn't go off, therefore no violation.

The "red light" doesn't know if it's a violation. If you mean when the shot clock expires, it does. And it did I thought. I remember a red backboard.

Yes, the red light goes off when the shot clock expires. It did not go off on Bone's shot. I DVR'd it and no red light. Shot was good.

Hmmmm let me see. Has the SEC fired every last football and basketball official they have? No? Then the officiating is still going to suck and I'm still going to complain.

"Pearl just made it pretty clear that he didn't believe Brian committed a foul on the last play last night.

Pointed out that Williams had two hands on the ball before there was contact made with Barnes, and added that Barens may have initiated the contact by backing into him."

SEC refs are the worst refs in the nation hands down, but at least they suck for both teams usually. I typically give basketball refs a break because it is by far the hardest sport to referee, but every single game I watch in the SEC its almost laughable at their calls/no calls. If the game goes down to the wire, bet your buck the outcome will be because of a bad decision by a ref, I am just glad I went our way this time, and I guess thats all we can do as SEC fans is ope at the end the refs make a call our way.

all I can say is that it's about time we had one of those calls (or no calls) go our way, especially after what happened to us in football this year.

Some really bad calls against the Vols included Tatum getting raped as he took the ball to the basket, and Goins (twice) getting shoved out of bounds causing a turnover by UT. Throughout the game UT got touch fouls while Georgia was allowed to bump TN players with the ball without a call.

brian williams basically buttraped a guy to get a rebound over the kids back and just threw it in the general direction of the basket and it went in to win 59-57

Wow, this is how you feel about an iffy no foul at the end of a game between teams that fought hard all night. I am curious how would you describe the carnage that Calipari left behind at his 2 previous jobs , Would u say he Skullf*@ked them???

It was a payback for the ref calling the ball out on Camerun Tatum who was a foot and a half from touching the ball.

I thought it was a foul in real time, but going back and looking at the replay its clear that Brian didn't make contact/impede Barnes' vertical motion. Brian was just more prepared for the airball and grabbed the ball before Barnes could get his hands up. Barnes then fouled Williams on the shot and flopped afterwards.

It probably would have been called a foul in other situations because of the way it looked in real time, but by the books the officials made the correct no-call on this one. That said, the officials did suck (both ways) all night.
