Don't you feel dirty after all the bad things you said about Dooley?

Dooley took a chance at an opportunity of a lifetime when Hamilton made a panic decision. I don't blame him one bit for it, even though he was not ready or qualified for the job. He took his chance and failed miserably.

Every year this happens to coaches all across the country, Dooley isn't the first and won't be the last. And unlike most coaches, Dooley is walking away with millions. His family is set for life. Think about all those high school coaches and their families that pack up and move to start from zero.

It comes with the job... lose, and fans will turn on you. Win, and they will put you on a pedestal, especially in a state like Tennessee. He's a grown man, he can handle it.

It is funny a dawg would come over and comment on our business. He is a loser. He is judged by his record of wins and loses. He had more loses than wins therefore by defination he is a loser. Why don't ya'll hire him?

Fairly wealthy loser, IMHO. Plus he played college football and has a law degree to fall back on should he not land another coaching job. What do you do for a living?

well he is a loser as a coach right? This is a football forum. What did you expect every one to say ? What a great coach he was? The Fooley,Dooloser,Dooleave etc was nothing compared to what Fullmer was called and he did 100 times the good for UT football . The W's and L's is what you see. I like the VFL program. I like that Dooley is a family man. I hate the way he treated former players, and skipped out on responsibility for the teams performance at times.I don't feel bad for what I said at all, I wish the man could have won some games and made me think diffrent of him. Not 1 fan wanted to see us lose so many games.

I guess my point is that people use the term "loser" quite a bit, often incorrectly. IMHO a loser is someone who sits home all day on his/her rear end and contributes nothing to society. CDD is a college graduate with a law degree and several mil in the bank. No my def of a loser. And I'd put his accomplishments up against many, many who called him such. Sorry he didn't work out at UT, but I wouldn't personally call him a loser. :hi:

He's finished.

What will his lasting memories be of Tennessee?

Maybe more importantly - what will the lasting memories be for his children and family?

I hope they didn't read all the hate and that somehow they leave with good memories of the great state of Tennessee.

I hope to see Dooley at the gates of heaven, rejoicing for eternity, where football won't compare to the wonders prepared for those in Christ.
But if I never hear his name again while on this earth, I'll be more than happy.

I don't say anything about coaching, I don't know if I would have it takes to coach (which is why I only do it on a small level (high school oline and dline) when I get the chance. That man has probably forgot more about coaching then all of these arm chair idiots will ever learn. It's why I laugh at people with "Guru" status on this site, when they are nothing more then bloggers who spout their opinion. All of these idiots on this site have no class. If the mods would actually do their jobs, they wouldn't be here.

What a great post. At first.

Then you had to go and ruin it with the last line.

A bit strong don't ya think?

look I don't think we can be so naive as to think that there's not going to be any animosity or resentment left over from this. Dooleys tenure was bad...it was really bad. I personally moved on the second I heard he was fired, but I'm not going to grill others for taking a while with that process
