I was on the fence...actually on the keep him side more so than on the actual fence. I will admit that todays game catapolted me to the other side. We have a good QB , 3 great WRs and we decide to not try to score at the end of the half nor try to win it in regulation. I just don't know who we can hire at tis point however. Gruden is not coming. BTW...I loved my vols before this game, after this game, and always thank you very much

He didn't even try to win the game at the end of regulation with good field position and plenty of time to move the ball down the field. Absolutely no way to explain that unless you believe in unicorns defecating rainbows all over la-la land.

I saw a unicorn before. Have you?

If you did you would believe.

Is John Gruden gonna change anything? I doubt it.

It's not Dooley's fault that's why no coaches wanna come here.

Not defending the guy, but the majority of my posts as well as others were before the liking feature was even around.

Ah, did not know that. Fair enough. Apologies to JoeyDupree.

Still, I thought that was funny as all get-out...18,000+ posts and >400 likes...

Me laughing at you? Probably. You are a Dooley supporter after all, and therefore a born loser.

I'm a Dooley supporter and I'm assure you I'm no loser or a f@gg@t like you alluded to earlier. I really don't care what you think so no need to respond with insults. If you want to have a civil discussion then fine, but I'm not going to bother adding to your obviously hard earned "cyber tough guy" ego.

In the long run I believe cdd can be best for the program. Given the time needed I do believe he can do it. Ive been a supporter and will continue to be. With that said I knew he had to win in Nov to be able to keep his job. At this pt though I'd like for him to stay but there is no way to say that firing him isn't gonna happen. My concern is the next coach and the fact that there aren't any real legit candidates out there IMO.

So yes that first "yes" vote is mine.

Want to say that I'm proud that tha players went out a played hard today. There is still a chance for a bowl so let's get it done!!!

Don't let them bully you, Oskie Volum. Stick up for your principles. I chose "on the fence" and I will admit I was tempted to chose "yes." He is our coach and I believe you should always support your coach like you support your players. Of course, I realize the players are not making millions of dollars per year. Coach made some terrible mistakes today, but in general I like the offense. He is a young coach and is feeling a lot of heat right now. He seems to be a good spirit that young kids can learn from and he has brought some respectability back to the program, even if it is not on the field...yet.

I think his biggest mistake was choosing the wrong DC and giving that guy the reins of the defense. CDD is not a defense man and seems to be very hands-off where defense is concerned. He trusted Sal and he shouldn't have. I really want to see Sal gone much more than Dooley. Imagine this team with a Chavis-calibre defensive coordinator. Dooley's decision-making would be much different.

Also, I fear another two or three years of transition under a new coach more than another year under Dooley. There do not seem to be any strong candidates out there now that would realistically be interested in the UT job.

Basically, I am on the fence because I see advantages to keeping him and disadvantages to letting him go. And vice-versa. I think Hart will let him go within the next two weeks. Dark days at Tennessee.

I love Derek Dooley and no amount of negativity or hate can come in between that.

It's call being committed to your program.

Hating the coach has nothing to do with being commited to your program. Im so tired of hearing this garbage from the pro-dooley people. People want BETTER for the program and players and they are tired of HORRIBLE coaching bringing the team down.
If your happy being worse than Vandy and having to battle Uk for the title of worst in the SEC then I seriously hope you don't hold a position of power within the University. I just can't understand how anyone besides his family can be happy with this and think it will magically get better with time. It would take 10+ years for him to even have a real shot at getting better and thats only if Bama, Fla, Uga, LSU, USC and the rest of the SEC hire coaches worse than Dooley after Saban, Richt, Spurrier, Miles, Muschamp and the rest retire or leave.

Ok im sure Dooley is a really nice guy...but they are not paying him for being a nice guy , we have plenty of candidates for that! He is paid to be a coach at 1 of the most elite programs in college football! He is simply not getting the job done. It is time for a change. Dooley has been well compensated So stop feeling sorry for the guy And let's get a real good coach!! ( Jon Gruden)

Plus it was the players fault he had them where they coulda won..

I'm weary about falling into your trap cause I know you were hard on cdd in the past. Don't know what made you change. Anyway, I agree with you. Our O had a few chances to seal it up when we were at 28-21, and they didn't.
