Don't let them bully you, Oskie Volum. Stick up for your principles. I chose "on the fence" and I will admit I was tempted to chose "yes." He is our coach and I believe you should always support your coach like you support your players. Of course, I realize the players are not making millions of dollars per year. Coach made some terrible mistakes today, but in general I like the offense. He is a young coach and is feeling a lot of heat right now. He seems to be a good spirit that young kids can learn from and he has brought some respectability back to the program, even if it is not on the field...yet.
I think his biggest mistake was choosing the wrong DC and giving that guy the reins of the defense. CDD is not a defense man and seems to be very hands-off where defense is concerned. He trusted Sal and he shouldn't have. I really want to see Sal gone much more than Dooley. Imagine this team with a Chavis-calibre defensive coordinator. Dooley's decision-making would be much different.
Also, I fear another two or three years of transition under a new coach more than another year under Dooley. There do not seem to be any strong candidates out there now that would realistically be interested in the UT job.
Basically, I am on the fence because I see advantages to keeping him and disadvantages to letting him go. And vice-versa. I think Hart will let him go within the next two weeks. Dark days at Tennessee.
