When he visited in 2010 per an article on Volquest. Apparently VFL was just a catch phrase for Dooley. What a tool.

I'm so thankful to have a coach now who lives it and knows what it means to be a VOL!

Least surprising news ever. It's Dooley after all.

But, but, but....All they have to do is pick up the phone and call somebody, right?

That is what he had said about former vols visiting. Dooley was witty and you could not help but laugh at his sound bites but good lord was he a poor leader/ head ball coach/ CEO of the UTK program.

You know in retro spec pipe dream vision I really do not even think Gruden could have brought the UT family together like Butch has.

Another Dooley story - I would love nothing more than for the majority of the fan base to let go of the past (Kiffin/Dooley) and look forward to the bright future we have ahead of us. Let's put our effort into rallying around team# 117 for these last games and let's show them what Neyland can be like again just like we did against Georgia!

According to Dez Bryant, he's one heck-of-a "offensive mind".

Well......if that is so.....

Please (somebody...anybody) explain to me how when you're on the opponents 44 yard line with approximately 35 seconds left to play and the game tied with Mizz, you have a 1st round draft pick at WR, a high 2nd round draft pick at the other WR, a 4th round draft pick at TE and an undrafted free-agent at the 3rd WR spot and a QB who is now on a NFL roster......and you let time expire?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I seriously don't get that dude.

Can someone please explain why Dooley felt the need to BAN past players from any sort of access to the team or even the facilities?

I think it was all about him being a control freak and the fear that past players knew enough about football to possibly reveal just how big of a fraud the guy was as a head coach.
