Dooley asked Wes Brown to leave facilities...

I was a big Dooley supporter at the start. He lost me with the Miss St. loss. I keep hearing more and more things that he did horribly wrong.

Though he did a couple of good things.

1.) He cleared the air after Kiffin left
2.) He didn't bring in the best talent, but provided some stability for the next coach
3.) I liked the orange pants and sound bites.
4.) He ran a clean program. (pun intended with the shower stuff)
5.) He is helping us to appreciate a better coach.

Can someone please explain why Dooley felt the need to BAN past players from any sort of access to the team or even the facilities?

I guess we had such a secret practice that he didn't want the former players telling people about the secret plays we have during practice.

Or he felt dis respected because no one consulted him prior to showing up...

Or a combination or both of those reasons.

But, but, but....All they have to do is pick up the phone and call somebody, right?

That is what he had said about former vols visiting. Dooley was witty and you could not help but laugh at his sound bites but good lord was he a poor leader/ head ball coach/ CEO of the UTK program.

To each his own, but nothing that man said or did ever made me laugh.
Now curse, yell, or see red?
He did a good job of making me do those things.

Here's a story that can show the contrast between Dooley & Butch:

My dad has a hot tub that gets serviced occasionally and it is typically the same guy. He told my dad that he has a couple family members that work as maintenance for the UT athletic department. These workers are in and out of different places throughout all the facilities, just depending on what needs done.

When Dooley was there, these maintenance workers were doing there job in some conference room or something, Dooley comes in, says "What the He** are you guys doing here? Get out of here - if I'm in here, you're not."

But when the same situation happens with Butch; he walks in and these workers are all apologetic, "Oh coach, we're so sorry, we'll get out of your hair, etc etc." Butch responds with, "Oh, no you won't, you don't have to leave just cause I'm in here. You keeping doing your job cause we're both employees of the state of Tennessee and my job is no more important than yours - we're all family now."

Butch gets it.
