I think it would be interesting to hear the responses from both fanbases on this debate.

Here is the question:

Which coach should be more so on the hot seat?

Which coach has done more for their football program?

Dooley is more on the hotseat.

In order to determine who has done more for the programs, you have to consider where the teams are now vs where the teams were when the new coach took over. Muschamp took over a Florida team that was one year removed from a perfect 12-0 regular season and was still stocked with talent. Dooley took over a team that had multiple losing seasons in a 5 year span before he came and was so badly hit by attrition that he barely had a two deep roster. Dooley has done a lot more.

IF Dooley doesn't make it past this year, he will have set the foundation for the next staff to come along and succeed based on what he built for them (which is possibly a travesty). We currently have a full roster now, and a two deep full of SEC caliber players. That didn't just fall into his lap. He made that happen. Now he has to do the other part of his job, which is win.

It's a better team. We'll have to see on that two deep full of SEC caliber players.

Dooley's on the hotseat, while Muschamp is sitting in Dooley's lap.

Dooley

Muschump inherited good team full of talent and hasn't done much with them.

Dooley was starting with pretty much nothing,

Let's just say that on paper they are SEC caliber players. That's why this year is a good indicator of the ability of Dooley to coach a team. Until now, we hoped he'd win, but the reasonable people didn't expect him to because he simply didn't have the talent. This year he has the talent.

Personally, I think we win big this year. I think a 10 win season (including a bowl) is not out of the question. I am excited to watch this year unfold. One way or another, it's going to answer a lot of questions moving forward.

Which coach has done more for their football program? To be determined.

The second questions isn't "Which coach will do more for their football program". That is to be determined.
The question is "Which coach has done more for their football program?"

Dooley

Which coach has done more for their football program?
Dooley, by far

Which coach would I rather have coaching our team?

Dooley by a mile

Dooley is on the hot seat in the minds of the media and some fans. But is he really on the hot seat in Hart's mind? The last interview with Hart doesn't really indicate that he is. Hart understands the context better than the outsiders. I don't believe Dooley is on Hart's hot seat unless and until he has a disastrous season in 2012. Hart is the only one who counts on whether he is or isn't.

Muschamp just took the program over and his philosophy is different than Meyers. So, he should be given time to recruit the type of players to fit his offensive and defensive style.
Also, Florida is still a respectable football program. They have qualified for a bowl game, at least, since 1992.
On the other hand, we have had three losing seasons since 1992. We won one National Championship and they have won three in the past twenty years.
They are in fertile recruiting ground and we aren't.
Florida has been "down" for two years. We have been down since 2005.
Dooley has two seasons of records to go against him.
Muschamp has only one season of records to against him.

Dooley by a long shot is on the hot seat.

Next year this time, Muschamp will be on the hot seat if UF goes 6-6 again. It's too soon to put him there after only one season.

I don't think either coach is the answer long term.

Dooley has done a far better job. Because everyone said it would take 4 or 5 years to get Tennessee back to where they used to be because of the lack of talent and no one expected to many wins.Muschump inherited a team full of top 100 players alot of 5* and alot of 4*.and they were expected to compete for SEC east.

So you say we have been down since 2005, please explain to me how we were down in 2006 and 2007?

1. Not sure but whoever comes out with an L jumps to the front of the line for the hot seat.

Personally, if both finish 7-5 there is a better chance that Muschamp would stay than Dooley.

2. Neither are where they want to be right now.
