Dooley Wanted for Georgia Job *Extremely goofy rumor*

Got this from the Georgia football forum:

I heard the same thing from a reliable source a couple of weeks ago. Here's my post on this then.

We all know Katharyn is about to (or already has) graduate(d) from nursing school. Now, the rumor I'm hearing from is that CMR will resign after the end of the football season so that he and his wife can do missionary work in Central America. Hense, the sole reason for Mrs. CMR going through nursing school. It's not like she needs the money.

I was told that CMR is ready to move on from the stresses of college football to life of fullfillment that he enjoys. Which I assume means God, family, and missionary work.

Take all of this as rumor and I'm nor trying to start one. But after hearing this I did a few searches on the web and found some things that sort of go in line with all of this.

With that said, has anyone here heard anything on all this. Maybe I'm behind the rumor mill. Or ahead of it. I don't know.

What say you?

I'm hoping it's all garbage but my buddy has some pretty deep ties to UGA Athletics and he's not a rumor junkey by any stretch of the imagination. And that's what scares me. And now this article comes along.

I sure don't want to think we're going to face a transistion year in 2012 with all of the talent staying and coming.

The thread title does say "extremely goofy rumor," but I see where you're coming from now. I suppose it's along the lines of "Gruden has land and family in East Tennessee."

You'll have to forgive me. With the average stupidity of the American moron it's getting very difficult to distinguish the facetious from the serious -- especially over the interwebs.
You may have missed the sarcasm but yo made up for it with your knowledge of our University system down here.

CMR may retire, and all the above reasons are reasonable. Dooley won't go there though. Better chance Florida gets screwed with Muschump leaving. I would love it if UGA called Dooley, and he says no thanks but I hear there's a guy down in Florida that would be a good fit. HA!

Im pretty sure its BS though. Richt just told reporters he plans on staying as long as he can, but the rumor has definitely made a splash.

Yeah I agree. Buuuuuuuuut....they are going to play a couple big games left soooooo he kind of has to say that for sure. We have all been doped before with these "that's false" statements. Just never know now a days. Like I said the reasons stated in your other post from your buddy are legit ones. Maybe his reason to retire whenever that happens down the road.

Your right, we won't know until the end of the season but I have no idea who that guy is, i just went to georgia's football forum and saw what they were writing then copy and pasted that. For all I know, that guy could be full of it. I just thought it was interesting.

On the radio and mentioned on Volquest, there is a rumor going around that Mark Richt is retiring on his terms after this season and Dooley is one the coaches they want.

If true, I honestly think it is higly unlikely Dooley takes it considering what he has, and the fallout between his dad and Georgia.

i started that rumor hoping it would become reality.

Oh ok. Either way it is good to know. Even though some people on here don't like this kind of stuff they are the same ones pissed when stuff happens cause they didn't see the writing on the wall.

The best thing Dooley can do for UGA is to stay at UT for as long as possible. The majority of our fanbase would not want him anywhere near our football team. We like Dooley as person, the jury is still out on his coaching abilities.

To everybody who says the Dooley's are at odds with our administration. Yes, there were some feelings that were hurt. What nobody mentions is that Dooley was the AD when the whole Jim Harrick mess happened. It was unfortunate that it happened under Dooley's watch but heads needed to roll.

Considering Georgia doesn't have a medical school, I find that hard to believe. UGA has a medical "partnership" with Georgia Health Sciences University. I think it's in Augusta, but I could be wrong.

UGA does run the Medical College of Ga. or Ga Health Sciences Un. Every part of that is ran by UGA at least thats what they told me.I just had surgery there 3 weeks ago.

Dooley will be here for awhile. Get used to it.

Vince Dooley is at logger heads with Adams, the UGA president for some reason that I can't recall.

The coaching staff will look like geniuses when they have players who can execute the plays and they can bring in good replacements due to injury or attrition. Many have questioned the Mad Hatter's decisions, but the SOB is close to winning the NC. Good players make great coaches and DD is bringing them in. For all of you who are praying for another coaching change---forget it. Dooley will be fine. A coaching change means another set back.

Unless it's Tommy Tuberville.

He got his Law degree from UGA and was a GA there. Also, grew up in Athens which is a pretty big deal. Muschump didn't play at Florida. but grew up in Jacksonville, and that was played like crazy when he was hired.

:clapping:

Who gives a ****?

We feel the same about CMR. Enjoy your East championship. Best season in years, and BSU still beat that ass.

Last championship UGA had was under a Dooley.

When did I say I believed it? I put it on here just to see what people would think about it considering Richt is apparently retiring after this year.

Btw, Dooley knows Georgia recruiting better than almost anybody in the country and him going to high school there doesn't hurt at all either.
