Hopefully not smart. Gundy would be ok but I would osu is all about offense.. we already have a team like that. Fisher would be better IMO.

So Mr. SEC doesn't even consider Gundy who UT talked to today?

I'd be OK with Strong, Jimbo, Gundy in that order...

There was an article in the Nooga paper abou how Dooley and his firm never bothered to even call on the HS coaches in Calhoun, Ga and the tri-state area around Nooga. They have poisoned the well there for years to come. We have all these highly paid coaches and they cant bother with even a visit to those schools? What are we paying them for? Chaney has a bigger buyout than Will MUschamp- I checked. Apparently Hamilton just handed a paper he had already signed and told them to fill it out anyway they wanted. Why isnt this guy in jail or court for malpractice? It makes me sick. He wouldnt blow his money like that, but UTs money is a differrent story. What a loser!

Fisher's performance against Florida really concerns me. 3 straight years of Top 10 recruiting classes and they looked sloppy and undisciplined. O yeah, Fisher's DC will be up the road at Kentucky.

I would rather take Strong.

Auburn fans actually Want Smart. Maybe it's the whole stick it to bama thing. While no one knows what he will do as HC, he is a proven heck of a recruiter.

If I were going after Assistant coaches to take over my head coaching job I would go after that Oregon OC...He's ready for a HC job...But not one the magnitude of UT.

IMO none of these can out coach DD, we screwed the pooch on this deal, he had us close, I know that close is not good enough, but hello pete these guys are not proven winners,and our team would have won any of there conf. with DD in charge!!!

Fisher can recurit, but with the talent he has in the acc he should wax every game and a sad tech team alomost beat them.

I talked to an Auburn fan the other day and he mentioned also that he would like to them hire Smart.

Kirby Smart is not being considered.

Strong is the only one from this list that is being considered and that would also take the job...

If Hart is TRUE to his word, Smart is not and has not ever been a consideration because Hart says we are going after someone proven, and that has Head Coaching experience. That eliminated Smart at the git go

Mike Gundy, Bret Bielema, or Tressel.

All proven winners of good programs. To only name three I will toss out:

Gundy - popular among players, but maybe difficult to land.
Bielema - extremely successful, young, driven.
Tressel - 5 games suspension, bowl penalty, impeccible resume.

Respected poster on here knows his in-laws, actually lives 100 yards from them, and they have told him that the only job he would leave FSU for is Auburn.

Besides, no need to come to the SEC when your in a weak conference and in one of, if not the most talent rich football state in America.
