Whoooooo! Recycled jokes and cheap laughs! Yeeeaaahhh! is there any reason this movie is happening other than Jim Carey and the Farrelly brothers need a paycheck?

Because Dumb and Dumber is a classic and fans have wanted it for 20 years?

I'd imagine they used many of the old jokes in the trailer just to get people interested.

The new stuff you'll have to pay to see.

Speaking of, after watching trailers nowadays I feel like I've seen the movie, they keep getting longer and showing more detail.

Why do these comedians get away from what made them so awesome in the first place? Eddie Murphy, Jim Carrey, Adam Sandler all went from being super funny to crappy drama films.

I so miss movies like The Golden Child, Coming To America, Happy Gilmore. The last funny movie Jim Carrey did that I can remember was Fun With Dick And Jane.

Murphy didn't have a choice, getting caught with a tranny hooker is bad for your career. Jim Carrey stopped being Jim Carrey. Sandler was never funny.

For the ones saying the trailer looks bad. 20 years later after a dull, boring and arduous life has left many a little jaded.
It's not bad they are playing the same characters perfectly. I don't think they've changed, still funny as hell without really trying.

If the trailer is any indication of the movie at all, it has potential to be pretty funny and pretty annoying. The original was, for lack of a better word, original. I don't want to see stuff like the old lady scene and catching a dude on fire. It's not funny to me. But, the first one was funny enough that I think this one deserves a chance.

Also, they drive the 1984 sheep dog, but that vehicle was traded for the "hog". So.... But sure how that works, but I'm pretty sure that kind of thing is what Chatty was talking about.

I realize that all of this stuff is subjective and different people like different stuff but it just seems forced. Like who needs a Wall Street sequel? Who was asking for Jurassic Park 4? And a Ghostbusters sequel without Harold Ramis is unwatchable IMO (Bill Murray agrees). This movie just seems like a blatant money grab. They probably don't care if the movie is a POS because they know people will go see it anyways.
