Before the Bowl Championship game Pearl was the name out there for violations and Cam Newton was the one that got a bye.

Our coach havsbeen charged with unethical conduct by the NCAA. The unethical conduct is not a good thing.

If Tressel gets that same charge wait and see how the OSU fans react.

Pearl had support here in the beginning of all this as well and more and more has come to light over time. I like Pearl as a coach and I love to hear him interviewed but it is time for him to go so we can move on.

Proof of this? Saying they have been cheating is like saying Nick Saban is always cheating. Both are probably true statements, but something has to happen to get the NCAA after them

Give it a few months. They have to investigate. How long has it been since they started investigating here? 6 months? Very rarely does anything with the NCAA happen quickly.

I am asking this in all sincereity and not to make apoint. Since I don't know, has the NCAA reopened it's OSU investigation? Does anyone know for sure?

I will go with that. My point is that the NCAA does nothing quickly and our fans are wanting something done with Tressel quickly so whatever happens to Pearl can be compared or justified. They NCAA does not work like that and most of us realize that.

We need to stop worrying about what happens to Tressel and start worrying about what's going to happen to Pearl. Comparing the two is silly, as the NCAA isn't going to compare the two when they hand out punishment. Life isn't fair, and neither is the NCAA.

Pearl is most likely facing a two year show cause penalty. That means no coaching, no recruiting, no contact with the team for two years. Better to let him go and start on the future now than wait two years and start then.

This!! Stop this tarnished our university BS!! There is no integrity in college sports! The NCAA and college sports are more shady than pro sports ever thought about bein!! Cam Newton got his ass kissed for takin money, yes he knew what his pops was doin! Ohio st is kissing and will continue to kiss Tressels ass for doing much worse than BP did IMO. Point is the stuff BP has done goes on everywhere, Bruce just got caught!

I am glad that what you believe will happen has a say into what the NCAA infractions committee's decision will be. Good to know.

He WILL be suspended from coaching for at least 1 year and most likely 2, whether he is the coach of UT or not. Previous show-cause rulings have proven this.

The difference is that believe it or not, the Buckeye fan base is more delusional and much more inclined to believe that they are untouchable.

I assume you have enjoyed hearing the story of Bruce's transgressions recounted during every televised basketball game of the season. Is it difficult for you to imagine how that looks to the rest of the country, including prospective recruits? Prospective students?

I owe the University a great deal of thanks for my education and degrees. I also owe it my support in times of difficult but necessary decisions. There is more to life than winning games. Blindly supporting a coach just because he paints up, rallies support, and takes UT to some NCAA tournaments is a spit in the face to many of us.

What is the difference? Pearl's lie was all his own. The cover-up wasn't between Pearl and UTAD.

At Ohio State, Tressel and the Buckeye AD for compliance issues knew all about what was going on and chose to cover the thing up in a lie.

It makes Pearl's issues look like a media guide violation by comparison.

They'll get what they deserve when all is said and done.

This kills me.
By this logic a man who commits a crime and says nothing until he is caught is somehow less guilty than a criminal who denies his crime when interrogated by the police? Please. Both are equally guilty

The main difference between OSU and Tennessee situations is I really don't give half a rat's butt about OSU. If you think the 'AA is fair and balanced you need your head examined. If after the bump viloation you think CBP has changed his ways and this will never happen again you should be in a padded room. If you know that he won't change than why move forward knowing you will be back in trouble again! Wake up!
