Raiola was the #1 QB at the time he committed, but dropped a spot or two after his senior season at Buford. (#3-On3, #2-247).

All of the Georgia scholarship QBs were top 10 in the nation in their respective class. (Beck, Vandergriff, Stockton) So, it's not exactly anything new to Georgia.

Carson Beck returning is what really changed things. Plus, Stockton as backup QB has 3 more years of eligibility. Had Raiola came to Georgia, he would have just transferred out after Stockton was named starter the next year.

Also, I think it sets things up nicely for the #1 QB in 2026, Julien Lewis (local GA kid), if he would decide to come.

Yes, Kirby wants 4 scholarship QBs, with Vandergriff transferring to KY, that leaves us at 3. So, he might take a developmental QB from the portal.

This isn't the NFL, nobody was cut. Raiola's people saw the situation unfold at Georgia and knew he was unlikely to take any meaningful snaps at Georgia for 2 or 3 years and did what they thought was best. I'm sure he got quite of bit more NIL money to try to become dumpster fire Nebraska's savior.

Also, it's admitted, KJ Bolden took less money to come to Georgia over FSU and Auburn. If GA safety Bullard declares for the NFL, I think it's likely Bolden starts as a true Freshman.

KJ can do it all, kick/punt returner and played WR as well. He was the recipient of most of those Raiola bombs.

Kirby does want 4 QBs and could look to the portal. We also have a 3 star QB coming in as a preferred walk on Colter Ginn from Perry, GA. It’s said he is a solid 3star and coaches are pretty high on him. Scuttlebutt is that Kirby will likely be ok with him as the 4th guy.

Once Saban retires and Bama slows down Georgia is going to become what Alabama was for years. It’s very clear, constant top classes. They will unfortunately run the SEC more than likely for the next decade at least. We have no chance unless we start landing top 5 classes

Gonna be hard for any team to build a dynasty for that many years. The transfer portal is still gaining steam. If a team gets to the top, everybody else snipes at their roster. Get a good player and hurt a next year playoff contender. Soon you'll need a $100 million a year to maintain a roster loaded with top recruits like Saban did.
