Good to see Jermod McCoy make the list. He deserved it. Should also be a first team All-American. I haven't seen a better corner on any team thus far this year.
Maybe Will Johnson from Michigan?

McCoy has been the best we’ve had in a very long time

Pierce first team All SEC? Sorry. but I didn't see it this year from him.
not being sarcastic, or mean, but yes you must have not seen it because it was there. Sacks arnt all that matter. He had a massive impact on QB hurries and how offenses had to play against us. Suck up many plays from the back side from his pure speed and athleticism.

Yeah you are probably right. My attention wasnt just watching what he was doing. Guess I was just watching who finished.

DSamp is BEST in the business! 👍👏👏
Couple that spin move with speed and he is too tough to handle

Very impressive considering the depth of the conference. He fits the offensive scheme perfectly. Underutilized in the passing game or he'd be running away with all the major awards.

Sampson is not bad in pass protection at all.

The fact that he is so adept at getting in the way of would be defenders probably limits his pass catching opportunities. Considering our line issues this year, more often than not we needed the extra blocker.

Dude’s been tossing linemen around like beanbag chairs. He’s a problem.

I am not sure what folks don't like about Sampson. I think even Kiper was dismissive.
I understand why everyone is high on Jeanty. I'm with you on wondering what the story is with Sampson though. What are "they" seeing that is lacking compared to Q Judkins/Kaleb Johnson/O Hampton/etc? Obviously all of it will be talked to death leading up to and through the combine but still...

F***k Kiper, he's wrong way more than he's right, like most of those hacks.

My only guess is that he's not spectacular, with a lot of highlight runs hurdling tacklers and doesn't have blinding speed. Sampson is a grind it out back who always gets positive yardage, moves the chains, and has the speed to run away from DB's. He's a prototypical NFL back, and his receiving and pass pro will be displayed more at the next level.

Sampson is pretty fast but otherwise agree.

You're kidding, right? Dude is double teamed on every snap, and still wreaks havoc, shown in all his QB pressures. The attention he gets throughout a game makes the rest of the D-Line look that much better, and I'd bet Banks would say the same. He's become a beast as a run defender as well. Teams that pass him up in the draft will live to regret it.

Unless you judge D-Linemen on sack numbers alone, it's hard to fathom how you could come up with that conclusion.
