looks like were getting commits from cincy.im not bashing the kid or anything but he has to bring in talent to compete in the sec.i dont see bringing in players he was recruiting to cincy called getting it done.I like BJ and hope he can turn this around.

It not his fault that he got behind in recruiting to Tennessee. We might just have to take what he can get the first year. But is he is as good of a coach as i think he is, he and his coaches can coach these kids up. Something i do not believe has been going on the last few years.

Nice Pick up. Welcome. I apologize many don't realize that we aren't in a position to be signing a class full of 4 and 5 stars after 3 coaching changes and a decade of crappy football.

These types of players rebuild the program to get to the level we all want to be.

with these kinds of recruits practice is the least of his problems. we will be luckey if we are not dead last in the east in his 2nd year.

His record against Charlie Strong is 2-1 and his team beat Franklin's Vanderbilt in their bowl game. Are those two guys not what everyone here wanted coaching us? His system has worked at two different locations now (Central Michigan/Cincy) let the process play out before writing him off.

i dont think its the stars that have people not overly excited, its the offer list, which leaves a bit to be desired

You can argue all you want about stars and I think they are inaccurate myself FWIW. You can't argue against offer lists. When we are the only SEC school offering these kids, it's a concern. When we are just taking Cincinnati's old recruits, it is a concern. Cincinnati was Dooley's signature win! We may get lucky on a couple, but when we fill our class with these type of players we will have a tough time catching Bama, UF, UGA, Texas A&M, LSU etc...
Of course every time we get one of these to commit, people always say he is "under the radar" or "a diamond in the rough". Well they can't all be "under the radar" or "diamonds"!

What's his record against Bama, Florida and UGA? That's how I will judge him!

Good God. You'd think UT was relevant for the past five years. What makes anyone think that Tennessee football should be a draw for anything above a 2 star with our recent track record? Just look at the other posts who have given up on our coach who hasn't held his first freakin' practice. Butch has taken on a steaming pile of crap left by Coach Dooley who improved the situation left by the glamour boy. Take your Zoloft and get some sleep for at least the recruiting season.
