EA’s gameplay deep dive

No, but between you getting this pissy about one small piece of the game and a poster in the other video game thread crying about how they tiered the school payments, you should get together and make your own game maxes out Tennessee at all 99s and everyone else at 20s since that's only thing that will make you happy about it.
Once again, big leap characterizing any of my takes as “pissy”. Resume gaslighting and strawmanning. If you don’t want a countering opinion, type your boring diatribes into a Word doc. 😴

Our QB got referenced as not mentally strong and they gave Oklahoma credit for Heupel’s offense.
Honestly, it is a backhanded compliment.

The "mentally strong" part is because he is a freshman. They're saying that a freshman (like Nico) would likely have a harder time on the road than a senior (like Milroe).

They used our QB because not many other programs have a freshman QB who anyone has actually heard of. The fact that they CAN use Nico is kind of a compliment, because people know him, despite the fact he is a RS FR.

I don’t agree but it’s a video game. Honestly not “bent out of shape”.

Agreed, I've waited 11 years for this game, not gonna start complaining now.

I wonder if they're gonna go back and (eventually) create classic historic teams like, you know..
The 1998 Vols.

I think that would be amazing. I realize that this year is tough bc everything is new. But....I just wonder if historic teams (or even players from the past as part of the Ultimate Team) could be in the pipe for the future.

Was just wondering if anybody saw the straight disrespect we took on EA’s latest trailer?? They used Nico and Milroe as the quarterbacks to show off their “new” trait system. Nico was the quarterback that didn’t have the “mentally strong” trait or whatever that’ll be called in the game. Idk how you come up with that, but whatever.

And then when they were talking about playbooks they said “you can run anything from the triple option at AF to the wide splits of Oklahoma”. I was shocked. They don’t even have Lebby anymore. I thought this was the first time a college video game would come out and we’d actually get credit for being on the cutting edge of football. But nah Oklahoma is getting the credit lol.

It’s not that big of a deal, but it is funny to see the constant non respect we get. Oklahoma gets praised for practically running the same offense we do, when we get criticized for it. In the NFL draft, in the media, and even in a virtual video game. Do people even know Lebby is from Heupel’s tree?? And even worst Oklahoma has only really had one good year running it 😂
Are you Zach Ragan? Because this is the exact garbage he wrote. If you are him, do they really pay you to write?

Not even close to what they said but you do you boo. They used him as an example of a young quarterback in a very hostile environment. It is, in fact, true that younger quarterbacks tend to not perform well in those environments. It's a good addition to the game, more realism.

Having the top redshirt freshman starting QB in the NCAA is an obvious pick to show that off. Arch is not the starter at Texas. NCAA doesn’t have many obvious starters as redshirt freshmen, so that part is somewhat a compliment.

It’s fair to expect a freshman to get rattled or confused at times. Nico will only get more mature as he gets older.

Arch has opted out of the game as well.

I really hope you aren't any older than about 12. Disrespect? You have to be kidding. Obviously it's a freaking video game, but really, they showed a redshirt freshman QB on the road at Georgia (and down by 6). That is the perfect example to use for showing off the feature. Also, if you bothered to read the article, we're referenced later alongside OU in the wide formations. Grow up and chill out.
Just because you’re a blue hair, don’t take it out on us

I don’t even want this game anymore. It’s stupid. Carson Beck got done worse than Nico. He’s getting squiggly play art on his play and it’s all 9 routes…I wonder if they have a thread about it on one of their idiot sites?

You keep saying you're not bent outta shape over it, but you keep talking about it. So....
I have you on ignore because you get “bent out of shape” over WHATEVER I post because you’re contrarian opposite. I can get you to do whatever I want as long as I can keep you from finding out what it is sooooo… 😎

Back to not seeing your obsession…

Is this game for adults too?

The game looks too complicated. I mean “wear and tear”??? Who played the old game with injuries turned on? Mental ability??? Dumb thing to put into a game. I hope you can still turn this stuff off.
I said the exact same thing. They had exhaustion in the previous games where if you ran the same player over and over they would have a higher chance of injury or fumble. Maybe you can adjust it

The “mentally strong” trait is tied to experience, which Nico has little of.

Idk why some Vol fans live to be offended.

2022 Vols disagree. 😁
We caught them at a good time. 11 a.m. kick there is a totally different situation than a night game. LSU lost all their discipline and culture under Coach O, they'll get it back under Kelly but they aren't vintage LSU the last few years. I don't remember their defense being as bad as it was last year since Curly Hallman.
