extending from near Athens to near Charleston, moving east at 50
mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

Calhoun, Riceville, Hillsview, Mount Crest, Big Spring, Evensville,

Update:

The severe threat is starting to lessen now. The Severe Thunderstorm watch in the Southeastern TN portion will likely be cancelled within the next hour or 2.
 
Those storms kept me up all night with my terrified dog. That was some of the most intense lightning I’ve ever watched.

Seconding the thanks. The lightning reminded me of when the tornado outbreak we had in April of whatever year it was. Almost continuous.

to roofs, siding, and trees.

Still way too far out to say where it's going to go. IF there is any impact from this storm, it will likely be in the northeastern section of East TN.

True but a stronger storm tends to track southward. Either way. This will be a devasting storm. Interesting that the GFS keeps the eye right on the coast for two days. That would be devastining. Gotta watch the high building over Ohio too. Could push it further south or pull it northward. Either way. Look out!
 
Just got our mandatory evacuation order starting at noon tomorrow. I want to roll with it, but it doesn't look like I'll get the chance.
