Eating and Drinking in Knoxville (merged)

Even tho I'm on campus everyday for classes I still wish knoxville would get some more chipolte....perhaps near the mall and turkey creek

Chipotle is so overrated. Went once and was completely underwhelmed. I'm in the give me free chips camp.

It is LEAPS AND BOUNDS better than most of these Salsarita, Moes, etc type places...

The pulled pork mexican salad with that honey vingarette, the corn salsa, and the guacamole along with everything else I can pile on it....

(and a good ole Negro Modelo)

YUMMMMMMMMMMM

I had a 12 oz NY strip w two sides at the Downtown grill Friday for 15 bucks. Best steak I've had out in some time for the price. Better than the 30 dollar steak at ye olde for sure.

31 Bistro in Market Square is very good. Great Happy hour and they use local products (produce, cheese, meat from Benton's)

Hit up the Savory and Sweet food truck if you see it in Knoxville. Friends of mine are serving up some great food out of that thing. Local meats and produce used.

You need to suggest they setup a twitter for the truck, have them tweet each days location and times....When we went to NYC this past summer I really wanted to hit up all the good food trucks I could find so I added them to twitter and it made it SO much easier.

They are on twitter and Facebook, etc. Follow their twitter if you want location updates. Search for SavoryandSweet

Bump, where is everyones favorite place to eat at during game day or in Knoxville for that matter? I'm talking mom and pop places

Copper Cellar on the strip. Go downstairs for a better atmosphere. The Bistro at the Bijou is pretty good. Downtown Grill is normally a decent meal at a fair price. Sam and Andys on Broadway has a great burger and meat n three type specials.

Ive been to Knoxville alot....but I always ate fastfood....What is the best place to eat in Knoxville?

Since I noticed this thread was revived recently it made me think of my dinner last night at Northshore Brassiere. First off, let me say I love the french bistro vibe of this awesome little restaurant, and the staff are always very welcoming.

Unfortunately I had a rather lack luster meal. The highlight was the Lyonnaise Frisee salad. The egg was poached beautifully and the smoked bacon vinagrette was the perfect amount of smoke/salt/sweet punch to counter the creamy egg.

My friend had a Steak Tartare that was no where near as good as Baker Peters Jazz Club used to make...it was dry, and the crostini bread could have broken a tooth.

He had a duck, and I had the Chicken. I was looking for that quintessential french warm country dish of the fall, and while the chicken was cooked beautifully the sauce and other components of the dish fell seriously flat.

My friend said his duck was just a jumbled mess, and was over cooked. I tried it, and nothing really married together with that dish, and everything just didn't fit.

Sad...Although I'd go back just for that Lyonnaise Frisee Salad. I hadn't ate at Northshore Brassiere in quite sometime so it was unfortunate I had such a lackluster meal, especially for the price point. :(

Went to Ye Olde last night for the first time in a few years. My last visit the steak was just OK but it was packed that night. Last night the place was pretty empty and the steak was excellent!

What are some good choices for places to watch a game after THE game? We're coming in from SC to cheer for the Vols, but need a place to cheer for FSU to beat Clemson that night!
