I think PG is a position of need, especially after watching the disaster that was McRae and Richardson at the point. Plus, if McRae has figured it out on the wing, do we really wanna put more on his plate? I see Moore and Richardson fighting for that backup PG spot and it being very close. I won't be surprised with whoever wins out, if Richardson wins out mcbee probably sees minutes at the 2. If Moore wins it Richardson probably sees minutes at the 2.

As far as the other 2, they're not freshman like you're making it sound. It's common for juco to come in and play, and it's just as common for sophomore or redshirt freshman to also play. If it was 3 frosh were talking about ok, but it's a frosh at our weakest position, a redshirt frosh, and a juco junior.

It might be normal for that many guys to come in and play on teams that lost numerous contributers from the previous season. But UT didn't. They have 3 solid post guys to share 80 minutes. And 4 returning guards to split up 120 minutes. So while I could see room for one more guy to get significant playing time in the backcourt, I can't see 3. What it boils down to is you, and some other people, have decided that these 3 new guys are better than 2 of the guys from last year. They may be, but your basing it on a couple recruiting articles, coach speak, and how a guys jumper looks at the RTL.

I think we will have to agree to disagree. I see a starting lineup of Golden, McBee, Richardson, Maymon and Stokes. And I see that staying that way at least till SEC starts or if they struggle.
You have written McBee off as a niche player and Richardson as a defensive specialist. Maybe your right, maybe I am, but it's obvious we aren't going to change each others opinion. We might as well move onto something else.

Zansdad I agree with you on this point. I don't know that any of the newcomers are going to beat out any of the returning veteran players. I wouldn't say that at all. I do think Armani Moore has a chance to be the back up PG behind Trae Golden and I think Moore has a chance to be in the 2 deep but I don't know of any of the newcomers coming in and setting the world on fire although I hope they do. Certainly Reese is gonna be a Post player I would think and he most likely will redshirt I would think. I don't think Edwards or Chievous are going to beat out any starters but they will hopefully battle to be in the 2 deep. But hell I hope they all come in and are NBA ready!!!!!

Very well said, and absolutely fair enough, just fun to talk some ball. Ready for these pre Italy practices to start, and then italy, that's for sure.

I could go for some NBA ready guys too. Also, I don't think Reese is a post player. The guy is pretty skinny.

Reese may not be a post player but somebody is going to have to play the 4 at some point. So Reese, Chievous and Edwards I suppose are all candidates to play the 4 some. Not all of these guys can be a 3 or 2. But Zo likes Versatility and so do I so maybe they play all of those.

When you say, "at some point", are you talking about this year or sometime next year or later? Because they got the post pretty shored up this year.
