Eddrick Loften.....

I'm betting he gets in this time if not then they gotta cut ties. But it hasn't done any harm sticking with him once he gets back into game shape he would be one of the best safeties we have.Dude will lay you out.

It's a shame that no one in this kids ear telling him to get his ass into school. Any school. The longer he waits on getting in Tennessee the more likely he is to never attend school and end doing something he shouldn't.

Poor kid. But I like how set on coming here he is. It might take a few years, but I hope it happens.

Don't know the truth to that, but he won't be playing till next year, if ever, if he wants to play here.

There is the problem with the AA cutting schollys and making it harder to get in school,it leaves a lot of kids on the street to get into something they shouldnt.I think the 85 scholly limit is a joke myself.Being able to remember the 60s and up through a lot of the 70s the sidelines being packed with players was the best.Tennessee and the toothless bunch(aka alaubble) recruiting and giving schollys to kids just so no one else could get them was great. Now you academic types, dont jump on me .A least they got a free education if they played or not!!!

So dummies should be let in, even if they can't meet a mediocre standard academically?

From the main Tennessee football forum... he apparently tweeted that he's departing Texas Friday night and ready for football

My question with Loften is this:
we signed 28 last year and we only had room for 26.
orta gray shirted and everyone though loften wouldn't make it in.
so that would get us to 26.
but if by some chance loften does make it in, does he or someone else have to grayshirt so that we are under 26?

Loften is trying to be eligible for january. If he does, he will be put on next year's scholly. He has no shot at this season as far as I know.
