Eddrick Loften.....

It's funny to me how exaggerated the time frame on this kid is. "He's BEEN trying to get in for two years, five years". It has been one actual human, earth rotation around the sun, year. I realize it looks like it will be at least 2 years between high school graduation and him seeing a d1 field, but at this point it has been one year.

True but since he committed he has had a year and a half to get his academics in order. Easy to see why Oklahoma pulled his offer.

If he wasn't good no one would care about this. This thread probably wouldn't exist.

So if he ever gets out of JUCO do you think we'll recruit him again or are we done here?

From the way I read Hubbs comment on VQ today it looks like the staff is still working w/ Loften trying to get him here in Jan.

Two years out of school, could be ripped up like Brent brewer if he has stayed with the weights

Dang, you know him not making grades really hurts us now that JJ is gone cuz this guy would have stepped right in without a problem..

I'll say the same thing I've said in several of these threads. It's classless to call him dumb because he didn't get into school, regardless of the reason.

He didn't get in, like lots of people. The insults are rude and shameful.

Its fine to offer an opinion that he won't get in based on past history. Saying that doesn't require insults and perjorative terms. Lots of kids don't get in four year colleges out of the gates.

i don't think this is the issue. sitting around for a year before enrolling in juco is what i don't understand.

We don't know what he was told or what happened. Yeah, it was a bad decision. I've yet to meet the person who didn't make a few bad decisions at age 18. That's different than saying he's stupid or calling him dumb.

didn't call him stupid. just think he made a stupid decision.

Is Loften suppose to be playing football at Hutchinson C.C.? He isnt on their roster for this season.

i know with corey smith the juco website roster hadn't been updated to this year's team as of a few days ago. not sure if that could be the same case with loften and his juco or not.

I know you didn't. It was a general statement not directed to any particular person. There were other posters who have stated it in every thread though.

I agree it was a stupid decision. I wish my stupidest decisions in life had only been that bad though.
