He looks like OUR COACH and thatā€™s good enough for me. Fell really stupid now how much I doubted the man when AD White announced him

A lot of us doubted. And justifiably so. We have been through a lot, and all of a sudden we get Central-Freakin'-Florida's coach? Some in here will pretend they 'knew' all along, but most of us were not blown away.

I'm happy to have been wrong. I remember that Basilio said for a log time that Tennessee just needed a few pieces of GOOD luck to turn it around. Heupel was one piece, and he got here to another - Hooker. Who saw THAT coming either?

Two good luck pieces, and as it turns out, Heupel is a helluva coach.

Go Coach, Go!!!

ā€œYou canā€™t stress this enough, but these are the recruiting wins that can help your program maintain and potentially advance,ā€ Wiltfong said of the younger Spillman. ā€œThe Vols have found their way into college footballā€™s short list of programs that have an actual chance to win it all, and Spillman is that caliber of player to suit up on that stage ā€” size, speed, range. Heā€™s a tone-setting tackler, an instinctive football player thatā€™s always around the action.
ā€œI particularly like how quickly he closes on the ball and his change-of-direction tackle ability,ā€ Wiltfong said of Spillman. ā€œHe gets downhill in a hurry, leading to negative plays in the backfield.

ā€œIn addition to the physical traits, as exciting as beating some of the best programs in college football for Spillmanā€™s verbal, is the intangibles here. He is a winner, an integral part of two straight state championships. He was coached hard. Heā€™s a disciplined player, and heā€™s going to bring that right makeup to Tennesseeā€™s linebacker room and beyond.ā€
