I know we have several guys in this class who will be EE (Early Enrollees)

However do we know which guys will be here early enough to participate in bowl practices.

It sounds like per the YouTube interviews from ON3 VOLQUEST... that Caleb Herring and Nathan Robinson will be participating in bowl practices.

I know NICO is EE but I doubt he will be participating in bowl practices.

please advise of the guys who will be in bowl practices.

I think I read we had 14 EE. How much practice time they get is questionable.

Well typically most EEs don't arrive until first week of Jan after the bowl game takes place.

However a few will show up or are eligible to participate in bowl practices.

So with Nico being in Cali, and not knowing how the semester runs doubt he will be included in bowl practices

The Vols are expected to have 14 of their 16 mid-term enrollees in for bowl practice, according to VQ:

Nate Robinson
Cristian Conyer
Rickey Gibson
Jordan Matthews
Jeremiah Telander
Jalen Smith
Sham Umarov
Nathan Leacock
Nico Iamaleava
John Slaughter
Jack Luttrell
Ethan Davis
Vyson Lang
Caleb Herring

Both Cam Seldon and Daevin Hobbs will be mid-termers but won’t be in for bowl practice.

To me this seem like a blessing. These guys will already have a feel for practice come spring. All positions of real importance imo!!

Thanks GregAmsler!!

That seems like a lot of the EEs will actually participate in bowl practices... Last year I only remember Tyre West and Jordan Phillips participating in bowl practices.

If indeed alot of those will be joining practice soon that's huge for development of program!

Any chance we can sneak Conyer, Gibson, and Matthews onto the field this New Years? No?

I don’t see why the NCAA doesn’t allow it. Especially now that guys can play 4 games and redshirt

Don't think they can participate in practice until after early signing day. Those kids are not eligible for the 2022 season which is why that can't play in this year's bowl games.

In all honesty, this list is why making a bowl still means something. The bowl itself is secondary to the 3 weeks of practices that we get. The 3 week early start for incoming freshman. The 3 week audition for players stepping into roles they didn’t have. It’s why opt outs don’t bother me.

If a true freshman has played in 3 games or less, can they play in the bowl game without burning the Redshirt?

Yes your building team chemistry and you get to expected to go to big bowls and playoffs. And young players get a early taste of things to come. GBO
