Mack mentions after signing day which makes sense to me but who knows if this accurate.

That’s 100% valid, but people act like going to bowl practice is going to give them a huge leg up on other early enrollees. It really doesn’t.
Nobody is saying that but getting in spring practice is a big leg up. Doesn’t mean the ones coming in fall won’t impact too. Still for some of the players being around the environment during bowl practice is a big deal to them personally. And spring practice is for sure a big help. GBO!!!!

It just level sets expectations so they might have a better idea of what they need to do to compete in the SEC. The sooner they get use to the schedule and the effort that's required, the sooner they will make improvements to compete on Saturdays.

Hope you’re correct on this. I’ve watched 1 of his games and a good bit of his game film and he looks like a baller…in HS. DB, WR, Punter, Punt returner, and helped his team get to the semifinal game.
Of coarse I also watched one of our ex QB ‘s rip the state apart, win a SC and can’t get on the field at UNLV
I like Lutrell’s energy. I’ll take a high energy kid any day.

There was an article on 247 dated 11/29/2022 that specifically discussed our EEs and when they’d be on campus to participate in bowl practice. Anybody have access to that article? We probably could answer a lot of our questions.

Yes! Moving the first semester for freshman ahead makes a big difference in their adjustment to college life before football season starts.

I believe on the On3 Volquest Podcast, Hubbs said like 15-17th so sounds like most will arrive end of next week.

Didn't mean they were leaving without taking all of their classes, it's just become increasingly more common to see mid years, but they do in fact skip spring sports, prom, etc.
True. You are seeing more and more of the EE guys. Especially if you believe there is a chance at starting or getting significant PT as a Freshman.
The best part is, getting a Spring practice and evaluation as well as learning the playbook and what is expected. Summer workouts and conditioning along with nutritional program. By the time they hit fall practice, it’s like they are a sophomore.

Well typically most EEs don't arrive until first week of Jan after the bowl game takes place.

However a few will show up or are eligible to participate in bowl practices.

So with Nico being in Cali, and not knowing how the semester runs doubt he will be included in bowl practices[/Quote
Why would he not know how semester runs?

The real benefit of having these 14 EE recruits participating in bowl practice is they learn the practice processes and drills. Also they experience the intensity of Vols practices. When they walk into their first spring practice, they will be acclimated and ready to go. Might sound like a minor thing, but it is really important. Just learning the drills can be challenging during those first couple of weeks. I can't believe we have 14 EEs for bowl practice. That's fantastic.
