Egg Bowl

There’s players that’s been seriously hurt and paralyzed for life playing this sport. Faking injuries is not a joke.

Running a gimmick offense to score points is not even close to the same thing.
I already SAID that expecting a kid to know whether an injury is serious or not before going down isn't the answer.

Whether there's faking or not, if there's a rule where a kid is out for XXX plays or a series or whatever, you're creating a situation where a kid doesn't want to let their teammates down and will attempt to play hurt rather than be out for a series or whatever.

You're correct. It is a serious issue. I don't want kids looking at the "potential penalty" and trying to play with an injury.

Ole Miss boards saying that Kiffin has agreed to/signed a 4 year $32 million extension. And it’s only four years because Mississippi state law doesn’t allow public employees to have contracts longer than four years.

Kiffin can likely get more than $8M/yr from LSU or FL. I call BS on having signed that offer.

I betcha Kiffin stalls (flops, if you will,) doesn't sign, and plays that offer to FL and LSU who will top it and ends up getting even more money from Ole Miss and stays put.

Mel Tucker just hit 9.5M and freaking James Franklin at PSU got 7.5M...... do you see Kiffin on their level?

Whatever you've heard is generated by Jimmy Sexton. Kiffin is about to get paid.

But who says that LSU or UF want him?

With the Jimmy Sexton magic, they don't have to actually want him. There just needs to be "buzz" that he's "of interest" to LSU and FL and that they're going to offer over what Ole Miss is offering.

What matters is what Ole Miss is willing to do to keep him, just as was true with Tucker and Franklin, if there's a perceived interest elsewhere.

Actual interest, offers, talks, etc in Kiffin are difficult for Ole Miss to know. It's all a high stakes "bu11shit card game" until it isn't and you let him take a better offer.

And Jimmy Sexton's job (and there's plenty of other agents doing similar) is to just get "word out" that offers exist and interest exists...... which isn't hard given the current state of journalism..... and thus, coaches who are mediocre are getting paid this year because LSU and FL are pretty tasty jobs that might make the carousel turn pretty quickly this year.

You fail to see the concepts of exploiting the opportunities that are there.

Saban isn't above running the hurry up now nor is Heupel above flopping when needed.

It is what it is. And it's legal just like the hurry up offense and we should use it as needed.
Tax deductions are a feature of the system. Faking injuries to get extra timeouts is not. They are not remotely the same. It’s bizarre this is even an argument.
