It was reported on CBS NFL football this morning by Jadon La Canfora that the Haslam's want Gruden at Tennessee and it will be a bidding war for him between UT and Arkansas....HOGS say money isn't an object.

The Money Generals are at war for Hart already behind the scenes...without the Haslam family and "The Sheriff" as Gruden refers to Peyton Manning...the Grumors would completely be dead here.

Perhaps no one is lying:

1) Hart may have had someone talk with Gruden's agent, and "technically" Hart never actually spoke to Gruden.
2). Hyams could have gotten false information from a usually "reliable" source.
3) Many posters have not been saying that the info you mentioned is fact, but we have been freely speculating and having discussion about the possibilities and various ramifications of a possible Gruden hire.
4) Like Hart mentioned in his presser today, he has a tier of information that only he possesses, and he has been holding all that information close to his chest.
5) Hart never spoke in public about Dooley's firing until after he spoke to Dooley in private... out of respect for his employee, privacy act provisions, getting clearance from Jimmy Cheek, etc.
6) And, for some of the same reasons, among others, he would not tell us who he has or has not talked to until he makes a hire.

So, don't take what you read on boards quite so literally, unless, of course, it's literal. Let's just be happy that Hart has made his decision, handled it in a professional manner, and that he has said that he will find the best coach possible. Now, let's support Hart until he proves not to deserve such support.

It's real simple. The folks behind the scenes (Peyton,etc)are taking care of business. So Hart is not lying. Those candidates will be passed to him for approval or denial. Hart is now taking over. He was out of it until the firing.

Just because he said something at the press conference it doesn't mean it's true...next you'll say that you truly believe Romney and Obama when they both said how much they cared about Americans during the elections...

If Gruden goes to Arky, I am gonna be really really really pissed.

But if Gruden goes to Arky and we are better than Arky...it would be so funny.

If Gruden goes to Arky and Arky is better than us, Hart will be fired and we will all know our program has significantly declined.

lol...if the gurden deal is done...what u want hart to say ya dooley fired i got my coach hired already...u have to have some time so it don't look like it was rushed so he gives us misleading info

This isn't the press conference you need to dissect, it's the next one where he introduces the new head coach that matters....the only thing I heard today was..." Dooley's gone...Blah, Blah, Blah!
