Two years ago, everyone was hyping Baylor going into '08-'09. They missed the tournament altogether. I'll believe Scott Drew puts together back to back exceptional seasons when I see it. Kansas State, Kansas, and Missouri will all finish ahead of Baylor in the Big 12. Won't be shocked if Texas and A&M do, too.

That Perry Jones guy is over-hyped as well. Unless Thompson and Joseph can come in and play above their heads, Texas is going to suck bad next season.

As long as Rick Barnes is coaching at Texas, they will continue to squander the talent amassed in great recruiting classes and underachieve.

I could understand Baylor a little more than Florida. They only get older. They don't have any significant newcomers and still have that midget as their only PG.

Not sure why multiple top 100 players are not significant newcomers? Also not sure why Rosario could not step in to spell the "midget" who I actually think is pretty stinking good.

1. None of Florida's 2010 recruits will have an impact next season.

2. Rosario will not be eligible until 2011.

Especially considering their seeding cost them a Final Four run last year.

Yeah, but Chasity Parsons would have totally kicked ass in the 3 point contest.

Just pretend you are losing in the last seconds to teams you supposedly have no business losing to and just chuck it up.

Boynton came to Florida to play point guard. ain't nobody in the NBA clamoring for a 6'2 shooting guard. he already did pretty well playing 10 mpg of point guard last year after never playing the position before. he will have an entire offseason to develop those skills and build chemistry with teammates.

then there's 6'2 Scottie Wilbekin who is reclassifying. the analysts i've read have him moving into the top 50 of the ESPN 100 when it comes out in a couple of weeks.

So that's three point guards though it's not like the midget didn't do a decent job last year while learning to play the position on the fly too.

yep Rosario won't be eligible. however i don't agree at all about impact freshman. maybe if your definition of impact means the player will be a starter then yeah it's not likely. but you're flat out wrong if you don't think Patric Young and Casey Prather aren't going to make the Gators tangibly better.

Young and Prather are both very athletic and are each rated among the best defenders at their position. Young's offense is a work in progress but he's an outstanding rebounder, shotblocker and garbage man. if he gets less than 18 minutes per game as a freshman he'd the first McDonald's All-American ever under Donovan to do so. Prather was already garnering Corey Brewer comparisons before he ever committed to the Gators. He's got to work on his outside shot some between now and the season but he'll make his mark in transition and on the defensive end of the floor.

Ahhhh. Scottie Wilbekin. That's right. The guy you beat out Liberty for?

Details, details.

MHF keeps up with recruiting better than anyone. Obviously, everyone else is wrong about this player. The NCAA is probably changing their transfer rules and MHF is the only one who knows that players that transfer don't actually have to sit out a year prior to being eligible. I'm sure he will have a major impact on FLA's team next season.

i'm sure you will react to this just like you did everything else but Tennessee started recruiting him after he blew up at the Boo Williams Invitational. Maryland had been recruiting him for more than a year and had him up on an unofficial.

O yea, Bruce Pearl is known for recruiting point guards that have instantly made us a top 10 team.

Boynton came to Florida to play point guard.

Obviously Billy Donovan is so confident in Boynton's point guard abilities that he went out and signed Scottie Wilbekin for this year and accepted a transfer PG for next year's class.

Or maybe the reason Donovan went out and got Rosario is because he believes Boynton will enter the 2011 draft after leading Florida to the 2011 final 4.

No question now, they will become the best defensive team in the SEC. With these players coming in as freshmen, how can they miss?

If Prather and Young are going to be such impact players. Why hasn't anyone mentioned them even playing a significant role for the gators next season?

Donovan takes as many guys with PG skills as he can get. with Calathes, Lucas and Hodge on the roster he signed Walker in 2008 and I don't think anyone doubted the ability of Calathes to play point guard at the collegiate level.

You should go look up what position Rosario actually plays because it's not point guard.
