The word "here" does not automatically equate to "Memphis," however. Unless he was more specific than that somewhere else in the conversation, you're jumping to conclusions.
Rose, and almost every other blue chipper to go to Memphis during Cal's tenure there was guided there by William Wesley. He's not involved with Negedu.
I may be jumping to conclusions, but when he is standing in the Memphis airport talking to reporters about Memphis and he says the word HERE it would appear by saying HERE he meant MEMPHIS. We will see. I hope I am wrong.
Yes you are right. Worlwide Wes gets Memphis the players that he is connected with. He is a very powerful man in the game of basketball including NCAA and NBA. Please google him for yourself.
Trust me, you're jumping to conclusions.
Do you think he would've made a big deal about taking all of his visits and being thorough with the decision-making process if he planned on announcing his choice in a routine local television interview? Heck, he hasn't even finished his time at Memphis.
When he makes his formal decision, we'll know. I don't think he's going to be talking about favorites until all is said and done, so I highly doubt he's going to drop such a blatant hint for all to hear completely out of the blue.
He may still end up going to Memphis, but you're reading into his comment a bit too much, methinks.
If I had a penny for every time you've told us to google WWW...
The only thing I agree with you on is will know when he announces. I hope I am wrong but like I said the slip ups in that interview indicate to me that he is going to Memphis.

Going into the 4 visits, I thought that Negedu was probably leaning towards Memphis. If he was leaning that way I would think that he would have committed during his visit. From the reports on the net, he had a great time at UT. Maybe he was leaning towards Memphis, but is having second thought about pulling the trigger. I would think not committing during his visit at Memphis only leads me to believe that he is now leaning towards another school.
.... You do realize he is a young man from Africa, right? English is not his native language, and the likelyhood of him meaning that he had already decided he will be attending UMemphis is nil. You do know that right? Trying to look into what was said by a kid who speaks English at the level of a young native speaker of the language is absurd.
They don't indicate anything, but if you'd like to continue reading between the lines when there's nothing there, nobody can hold you back.
Some people are just determined to be contrarians, even in the face of common sense and reasoning.
Again, hope your right. Is it common sense and reasoning? or is it everytime you hear of a good recruit looking at UT, you are convinced he is coming here b/c your a UT Fan?
At least I am basing my thoughts on evidence.
