I have a reliable source at the University that is telling me Holly will gracefully exit after the season- He tells me the stress & Criticism is taking its Toll & she & the University will work out a soft landing... Time for New Blood
Next season will be the make or break year for CHW, since CPF just said in a KNS column that she was doing a nice job and that he has not talked about any extension with Warlick.
:rock::rock::rock:What is your source?
I am one who believes that Phillip Fulmer will not fire her.
Dr. Davenport will see it happen if enough pressure is put on her. Next why not Tamika Katchings for the coaching position? With all her experience under Pat Summit and the years in the WNBA, she should be able to coach.
As much as I believe Holly is incapable of bringing back the Lady Vols glory days, I am afraid we are in the for the long haul with Holly at the helm. Perhaps when top recruits quit coming to Tennessee and BTA crowds are small enough to fit in a 100 sq. Foot building, Administration will hand Holly her walking papers.
This is true, Holly did win COY in 2013. It is also true, Holly had Pat's players that made her COY...Well considering she already has, it shows how much you watch the Lady Vols.

"She announced in 2011 at age 59 that she'd been diagnosed with early onset dementia. She coached one more season before stepping down."
I honestly think she can this coming season. Is there anyone that honestly thinks Holly could conceivably win Coach of the Year in the SEC during her tenure at UT? From what I have watched, NO WAY.
See you are a Holly fan. Holly has a lot of high schools All Americans she has recruited. She has got them in school but she has come up really short in the coaching end. Just because she was under Pat doesn't make her a head coach. Just face it, as a head coach she can't cut it. Another problem we have is Fulmer and Holly have known each other for many, many years and probably very good friends. I am afraid Fulmer will not fire her. It looks like the Lady Vols will be average for a long time.Thats right, fire holly before the sec tournament even starts... get the pitchforks... rabble rabble rabble... fire her now.. rabble rabble.. lady vols are already out of the tourney..rabble.. she sucks, players suck.. rabble.. fire them all... am i doin this right?
Yes, Holly did do the coaching for Pats last year, and how far did they go? About the same as we are doing now. The same as it will be as long as Holly is there.Pat's players were Holly's players. She helped recruit them and coached them - even Pat's final season was coached by Holly. Sadly, Pat was in a trance much of the time.
The difference was just the experience level and comradery of the players. Burdick/Harrison chemistry was much better than DeShields/Cooper.
I honestly think she can this coming season.
And I think honestly the offense will
have to be revamp because there will not be that six six player that will be the focus.
The post will get their points off of miss shots and the wings will be the
strength of the offense.
Honestly the Lady Vols will be something special up and coming.
I pray the offense is worked on to accomadate the players skill sets.
Meme will be a great senior leader
also.
