Enough Cooper Mays please

Being asked to play center in flag football for 1 series is completely different than being named “all-time center” for both teams.

Cooper Mays, Cooper Mays, for some weird reason people cannot stop talking about Cooper Mays. Was listing to a VQ pod and they were talking about Cooper being a main reason that the offense has looked better. I see so many unintelligent posts claiming that Cooper is the most important player on the team. I like Coop and appreciate all he has done, but he's a center and trying to give him all the credit is shortchanging the guys who deserve the credit. Let me repeat, HE IS A CENTER!. Milton and Wright have been playing terrific lately and they are the reason that we look different the last few weeks. Again, I like Cooper, but he's just a center, his job is to snap and block. I even played center on two teams just because no one else on the team wanted to. The QB would make all the calls and all I had to do was snap the ball and run my route (it was a league where the center is an eligible receiver). My role was nowhere near the role of the QB, and that would be even more magnified in the SEC. So please give credit where credit is due and stop with the dumb statements about a center being the savior for our team, I don't want to hear it from anyone else.
Maybe you should ask Milton and Wright their take on Cooper.

I am just sick and tired of Joe not getting his due credit. He was bad at the beginning of the season but he's balling now.

Also Volos, not even 30 days ago...
If it's not going to be Nico going forward, it needs to be Gaston Moore. I love Milton and I think he's a special talent/person, but it's just not working out. Gaston looked terrific in the spring game. I would roll out Gaston and Jack Jancek in against Bama.
Jancek? What, wait, WHAT!?

This doesn't seem as original as his 'Milton will be good because he's sexy' thread

No it's not. Just because our fans say this doesn't mean it's not dumb. It's just like when people say that Brock Bowers might be the most important player for UGA, that's a dumb take too. He's a tight end. It's impossible for a tight end to be the most important player. Don't believe me? Look at the rankings of positional value The pyramid: A visual of John Dorsey's production

Could this “sick and tired” be symptomatic of something much more serious?

I’m guessing but I believe the OP just sucked y’all in to a vortex and now he’s laughing while eating pork skins and drinking Gatorade 🤷.

Lol. You've got to be trolling; at least I HOPE that you are. Have you seen how much different the line performs when he's there as opposed to when he was injured?

I don't think you understand the center's responsibilities. It's more than snap and block.

Can't start a play without a CENTER!!! Not sure what level of ball u were playing on but I'm sure you weren't going against Fla, Bama, A&M, or UGA's front 7's. In today's game if your Center cant make calls he is either not very smart or not very good. My son plays at a 5A school in GA that runs uptempo. Their Center makes all of their protection calls in unison with the QB. One of my closest friends was a pretty good Center in his day on back to back GA State Champ teams and he made all the protection calls. Go ask a Eagles fan if they would have the top OL in the NFL without Kelce. I guarantee you in the early parts of Hurts career Kelce was making the protection calls. They're entire team's success is built on the back of their OL and it starts with their Center. I will say that every Center isn't created equally, there are some that are JAGS. There are also some that are just different and Cooper falls into that category. There is a clear night and day difference when he is in or out the lineup. We don't have another OL with his football IQ, experience, and talent wrapped into 1 package.

My only hope for the OP is that he actually is Cooper Mays, fishing for complements.

In that case, my hat's off to you, Sir!

There is a time to speak and a time to not speak. OP, that was a time to not speak. Take some time to learn a little bit more about the game of football and then come back to us.

Hey now! The corner route from the Center is undefeated if run correctly. 🤣
