Probably Wuerffel.

In 1994, Manning was a true freshman at Tennessee and would not have started if Colquitt did not get injured.

Actually, Todd Helton had to fail for Tennessee to get Manning on the field.

By the end of 1994, Wuerffel was established as a damn good qb.

Hard to see Wuerffel losing his job in 1995.

I don't think Weurfell would have sniffed the field in Knoxville but also think Weurfell would have been hard to unseat in Gainesville. I still think the 90's Gators were better than the 2000's Gators even with fewer NC's.

Sorry, but Manning was not the best QB to ever play the college game. Tebow has a national championship ring and a Heisman trophy. Manning has neither. Both are in a league of their own, but I give Tebow the edge.
