I dont blame him. He had been committed since the Fulmer days. I am sure he wants time to acutally go through the process

Eric MacLain, tight end from Fayetteville-Jack Britt, N.C., originally committed to former head coach Phillip Fulmer. He remained loyal through three coaching changes, but coach Derek Dooley has lost a verbal pledge.

Tennessee verbal de-commits

Maybe the staff told him they were going to take someone else instead of him because he said himself that was the only way he was going to decommit.

Who cares right now. It's a long way to signing day. I really enjoy the recruiting process but a few months of it a year is all I can take.

Ok for real.... why is there a Black Dot on my Avatar spot ? I've been ignoring it, but i know Men should never ignore dark spots no matter where it is located.......

Can you confirm? I don't know why the staff would just omit this guy. Sounds like he would project as a 4-star. But I would definitely trust Dooley and his recruiters. After all, he was recruiting coordinator under Saban at LSU and landed two number one classes and a number three class during that tenure. I totally trust his recruiting finesse.

GO VOLS!!

We can't. Quiet period.

Saban just got a commit on this "quiet period" over the phone... All he did was call his high school coach which is allowed...

I'm a big time Dooley fan...but I don't understand not at least calling the hs coach of our only commit...especially when there is a big time DT on the same team...

It seems like alot of these players say that they have UT high on their lists but then each and every one of them says "but I havent heard from the new staff so I dunno?" Whats the deal??

I heard he's a USC lock, but I'll wait to see the GatorBait report to see if they will pursue him.
