On TOS his dad is on their and said that was a big reason in why. Said he teared up when he read about the Washinton TE getting offered when he still hadn't heard from DD. GBO

very good perspective(sp) Sab. is this an indication that Dooley may want to recruit giants on the O line, as opposed to smaller athletic kids?

Don't know about that, but I do know we have been taking way to many "projects" on in the line department recently.

One of the things saban staffs are known for is talent eval. Cdd and clt did it for him, I'm gonna trust they are fairly good at it.

Losing a three star te that probably will play tackle in college, but may not want to hear that? Well, I don't have a problem with that.

Jenkins was offered by the last staff, and if he just now found out, then he's not been paying attention.

You have to wonder if the situation would have worked out better if DD had at least called and told him he was looking in another direction if that is really what happened. I guess that can cut both ways.

Well maybe the kid just wants some sort of answer...if Dooley isn't interested how hard would it be for him to call his coach and let him know?

No harder than the kid calling Dooley and saying he's concerned and ask what's going on. Or the dad? Is the kid that passive? If your worried how hard is it to make a call? I'm just not buying that this is the whole story.

I know there's mulitple threads but I wanted my opinion known....

This kid was 150% diehard Vol and CDD can't call him but he can sign these 2/0 star recruits?

He must not have room for a 3/4 star TE/DT because he plans on signing 25+ 4 stars players that are better than MacLain.

And orange goggle wearers, please don't try to spin this, it's a fudge up on this staffs part plain and simple.

Sad series of events.

The sky is falling!!!! The sky is falling!!!

Just a reminder to those not prone to overreactions... it is February 2011. There's alot of road to travel before any of these JR's sign with anyone.

It's not like the kid signed a LOI and is going somewhere else. We still have time to land this kid and if he was as solid on Tennessee that he said he was then he will listen when DD calls.

Scout shows 4 of the top 5 TE's with interest in TN. Maybe, look at the bigger picture?

Maybe Dooley didn't want him? Maybe? I'm a die hard Vol too and would love to play for UT, but Dooley hasn't called me one time.

I have to believe that this was a conscious decision by Dooley. Those of you who are saying he's only been here a month and that these things take time are off the mark, IMO. He only has 1 current commit to worry about, and a phone call takes 5 minutes. That call would have been placed if he wanted to make sure he kept him.
