I know we have discusssed this ad nauseam but how do you feel about ESD now that we have had a couple of years to see it affect the cycle?

Voted no due to added pressure on players and coaches during an already busy time... thanksgiving to New Years is already a cluster****, plus the bowl games. ESD has advantages to some, so whatevs.

Baby Yo looks like Gizmo got just little wet but not too much.

I voted No, I like the traditional signing day. This early stuff sucks.

The early stuff does suck at times because the anticipation part of it is exciting & we miss most of that but for the coaches, I am sure it takes a lot of pressure/stress off them locking up the bigger fish or highly sought-after players. I am sure it is stressful babysitting the recruits all the way to NSD that elect to wait.

I voted baby Yoda because I am not sure how I feel about ESD. I like ESD in some ways because it does get it out of the way and let kids move on. But I do not like it because it cuts down on the amount of time our coaches have to recruit some kids. On the other hand it lets coaches know what the biggest part of their signing class looks like early so they can concentrate on filling the holes left by maybe missing on some recruits.

you see why I voted baby Yoda now? I have no idea.

I think both the first 2 choices are pretty true, other than the boring part. But the 3rd option is 100% true so I picked it.

Have we seen any coaches fired between ESD and traditional SD? I wonder if that's what USC is doing with Helton this year and why there has been so much smoke and no action.

I think ESD makes coaching changes much harder because a coach has 2 or 3 years now to get things turned around and they go into a situation with a bad roster and even more of a disadvantage with their first class since so many kids sign during ESD and class sizes are topped at 25. Im happy I'm not Mizzou, Ole Miss, Ark, or FSU right now.

Still want something that gives kids a "no contact" option but not a fan of ESD for reason listed.

It's signing a contract before the final "terms and conditions" are even included.
But whatever gives us more baby Yoda, I'm good with.

I've hated the evil empire ever since they bought marvel but lets stay on topic this time.

I hate the Star Wars franchise because it caused the 2 executive producers of Game of Thrones to half-azz the 8th and final season of GOT and ruin what should have been the greatest final season to the greatest tv show ever because they were in such a fricking hurry to rush off to the SW franchise and a bigger paycheck.

I was originally all for it because it let some kids be finished with the process earlier, but after having viewed it a couple of years, I think it does put the athletes at a little disadvantage because of potential coaching changes. I know players commit to the school, technically, and not the coaches, but we all know that the coaches have a huge influence on that decision.
