Always thought ESPN did a pretty good job and never understood all the hate towards their evaluations. It is all a guess anyhow.

ESPN player evaluations are good, maybe the best of the bunch.

But when it comes to what schools have the best shot at what players, they often fall hilariously short.

So many things can happen between now and NSD, here are my predictions...

1. UGA struggles Coach Mark Richt is fired IF THEY ARE BLOWN OUT BY UT AGAIN
2. Auburn Offensive Coordinator takes a head coaching job
3. Unfortunately IMO Lance Thompson jumps ship to UGA. It just makes sense and hes never been in the same place more then 2 yrs. (Hope I'm wrong though)
4. Bama D-coordinator Kirby Smart takes UGA HC job
5. Les Miles struggles as does Michigan resulting in Miles take the UM job. I wouldn't be surprised if BOBBY PETRINO jumps ship to LSU, all could be feasible.

they are best right now imo.

Rivals is way behind the ball.

This. Rivals is WAY down from last year. They haven't even updated rankings yet this year and already had like 3-4 times at this point a year ago. ESPN/Scout is definitely the best this year.

we have to get a coach with some fame and cred...hell we might have been better off hiring the pirate from texas tech

I hope this is a joke.

Leach could never be a coach in the SEC...OC, yes, but he is only HC material at a place like Lubbock.

i say we'll get a top 15 class.

and we will be on alot more than this in the next 6 months.

people don't realize how much things are gonna change between now and NSD or something.

LV do you think we get top 15 because we are heavy on the lineman this year versus skill players and that there are not as many ranked as high as other positions or that this staff is taking a different approach and not necessarily worried about the stars.

i feel like johnson will be the only one to sign with us. the rest i just don't see it happening unless other teams start running out of schollys. i see no reason to believe that we will be a top 25 class either. i just hope dooley is as good of judge of players as ferentz in iowa or we are screwed. the rest of the sec is loading up.

Kirk Ferentz doesn't belong anywhere near good recruiter discussions.

I agree with LV's sentiment that we'll get a top 15 class. I don't think our record this season will have any impact on who will sign. Also, there will be multiple changes in the college football landscape by the time we hit the home stretch in January.

Miles and Richt could be gone. Malzahn could be gone from Auburn. There will be the Brandon Willis type recruits who will decommit numerous times and the last minute holdovers like Janzen Jackson. Everyone just needs to be patient.

Do we really have a shot at all 7 of these in the ESPN 150. If we can land the majority of them, then maybe some predictions of a top ten class may very well come true. I hope so..

Micky Johnson
A.J. Johnson
A. Richardson
J. Rome
Arnett
G. Wright
S. Tuitt

How many do u think we get... There may be 1 or 2 more but these are the names circulating most on the board,,,,,,

I think Richardson is about a lock to be a Vol. I think A.J. Johnson will probably be a Vol. I don't think UT is as "in it" now for Wright (UA or AU) as y'all were not long ago, but that could certainly change again. I doubt Jay Rome (UGA) or Mickey Johnson (UCLA) will be Vols unless something's changed lately for Mickey that I haven't heard about. I've kind of quit following him since Bama cooled on him. I have no idea at all about Arnett or Tuitt. JMHO -- at this time, and as many say, there's still a ways to go yet before NSD.

Top 10. Call me crazy. Just have a feeling.

We will have quite a few three-star commits who will be rated as four-star by year's end.

I trust the coaches and whoever they offer schollies to.

I maintain that we will land a top 10 to 15 class.

Word...

I think the most important thing for this class is to load up on O lineman and DTs. If we get the best in those areas then I am happy and will be very happy with a top15 class. What we need is to finish in the top 3 in the country in DT and O lineman after that it's just gravy.

New rankings come out next month. Give us a chance!

haha, oh I know man. Just saying for right now.

I feel pretty confident that Rivals will have the best ratings when it's said and done.

Do you know what day the new rankings will come out?

I keep hearing references on this and other boards that things are looking good to have a top 15 class and perhaps our third top 10 class in a row. Supposedly this should make us a solid base for regaining our elite program status soon.

I agree that we are in very good shape to land a top 15 class and perhaps even squeak into the top 10, but kiffin's "top 10" class has been decimated. If ranked now, it would be far from a top 10 class. We will need another really good year of recruiting next year to have a solid base to begin being competitive with the best.

JMO, though.
