The shocker we can learn from this is that Alabama still thinks they deserve to be in the playoffs. What's more 90% of the fanbase believes they would have won it all....

They are two of the very best. That's why they get the big bucks and big events. ESPN even pays to fly Herbstriet's dog to events.

One reason Vol football program regressed for two decades was because of a fan base that saw everything through orange colored glasses. They refused to listen to critics. They considered them to be Heretics. Fowler and Herbstriet are going to tell it like it is, whether you like it or not. Both have given the Vols considerable props this year.

What if you were him and UT was dominating. He almost goes out of his way not to show favortism. He's still paid to accurately describe a game. Any other analyst would praise them even more. They're better than everyone else

Ohio St is probaly the best football team. They showed that the 11 guys on defense 9 of the 11 has been there 4 and 5 years. They have played together that long. They should be good. Ohio St will probaly win it all.

People needs to get off your back.I do see what your talking about .No matter if Tennessee in the mix I hate listening to them 2..It is just as bad as listening to Gary (dick) Danielson all that time .If Danielson could have publicly fondled Saban he would've wanted to be videoed doing it..

Yeah, the fan base is to blame for UT regressing in football for many years, not the incompetence of the athletic department!

They didn't always take digs. But, there were several during them mentioning Tennessee about 50 times during the entire game. But, one poster is very correct. At least they were referencing TN during a playoff game where TN didn't play and not Bama because they didn't make it!!! :)

The fan base had nothing to do with the Dark Ages and everything to do with the UT Administration/ Athletic Department. However I agree that even today if you say anything derogatory about the coaching or certain players you will get considerable push back. Some call it dialogue.
